Semi-interesting anecdote about this film; When I worked in veterinary medicine, we would use 3-way stop-cocks to drain thoracic fluid from dogs with heart conditions. Whenever we would do this, we would inevitably talk about this movie, because of MW having to do a similar thing with the same device.

Sigh, poor Atari. Blade Runner curse, etc.

I'm excited for this! The MSX proved that providing a standardized hardware spec & development tools can produce wonderful results. I just hope that it doesn't end up like the last time the same concept surfaced. The 3Do. *Shudder*

Such a good list, it reads like a list of the games on my shelf back when!

"January 30th, 2015: My car crashes ON THE WAY TO MEET BRIANNA, DESPITE THE FACT that I am an experienced veteran street racer with Hours of Content under my belt of racing's worth, and DESPITE the fact that my mom's Prius has never even crashed before." *Emphasis added.

Just checked out the trailer, thanks for the heads up! It looks really cool!

You know, I was just thinking of tackling a new RPG during the cold months. And your post has shown me something interesting in that area. Synchronicity!

With the allegations mounting, and intriguing tidbits such as this, it's hard not to imagine that there is a massive story just under the surface. Theoretically it's staggering. Upwards of 20 allegations and a career spanning half a century. It's mind-boggling how much trouble one person could cause given that kind

Kelly,

Sympathies for the family! He was a living legend. Thanks for everything, Ralph!

I'm curious to know what ends up killing the guy again. I will be disappointed if it's a spirit bomb. Here's hoping!

Two of the coolest things from my childhood, in one awesome package!

I am very much in agreement with you on your points. I would, however, like to point out that while internet threats are saber-rattling to some degree, completely ignoring them is not a good solution. I feel that reporting the threats, but not publicly acknowledging that you either received threats, or reported them

I would love nothing more than to not pre-order games. Where I live, however, that's pretty much the only way to get a specific game in a brick-and-mortar store. If I don't pre-order at Gamestop, I have to go in and pay full price for something that the store has opened already! If I don't pre-order, I may not find

For what it's worth: I felt the anecdote was weird, and I imagine it was not something that was easy to put in a book that Lena knew would garner lots of attention. Your article touches on the conversation that should be taking place, that larval stage humans are odd creatures! Humans are super weird as they develop

Kirk,

I was a Sega kid all the way! I still have my dreamcast, and a load of great games for it. My prize game is Seaman. It's still fun to swear at those weird fish babies. "it's seaMAN, punk."

that bit with the gas tank was great!

I like the idea that anyone can star in the game. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would take great peacemakers from history and incorporate them into a fighting game. Gandhi vs. Jimmy Carter, etc.

I'm replaying Final Fantasy Tactics. It's just chock full of gameplay. Also, it scratches a particular itch; I just have to unlock more jobs.
