This twitter feed is always delightful!

I wish I knew who to credit, but someone recently said that the biggest scam the rich have pulled off is convincing the middle class that the poor are the source of their problems.

I thought the same about keeping the shredding stuff inside, but I wonder if the shit-show that occurs around abortion clinics prevents this. That is, the stuff is left outside so that the shredding company can pick it up during non-clinic hours instead of having the company’s employees run through a gauntlet of

I work in a hospital and we also get active shooter training. A hospital! I know that if even churches and elementary schools aren’t places of sanctuary, I have no reason to expect a hospital to be safe, but it is still horrifying.

I believe one of a biggest reasons that even main-stream Americans turned against the Vietnam War is that the news coming into our homes at that time was pretty much unfiltered. We got a nightly glimpse of the horrors of war. Politicians learned that lesson right quick - you’ll notice all journalists were tightly

I would hope so anyway...

My car has it, but my salesman said it automatically shuts off after 10 minutes if you don’t put the key into the ignition. I can’t imagine they could continue to remote start the car over and over without a lockout.

You have to at least partly blame all the anti-abortion nuts for this. They never show any pictures that are anywhere near the correct gestational age in their little vignettes.

I get it. My husband shakes his head at how obsessed my fellow RN colleagues and I are about poop.

My husband’s uncle had a successful stem cell transplant to treat cancer. The uncle and my husband’s aunt are rabidly pro-life. The aunt was talking about how thankful she was for that treatment. I mentioned that I thought it was wonderful, too, but also mentioned being thankful for the research that led to it.

I was angry reading the whole thing, but that sentence nearly caused a rage stroke.

My grandmother was frantic when each of her grandchildren had their own children, until the great-grandkids were baptized. She literally did not sleep well until the kids were sprinkled, the sooner, the better. I’m sure it had much to do with her surviving 3 out of her 5 children.

We visited the Lincolns’ home in Springfield last year. I told my husband that I bet much of Mary Todd Lincoln’s supposed “craziness” was related to losing her boys, and then losing her husband in such a tragic way (and bitter political enemies exaggerating everything she did) .

Thomas is the perfect example of how the right thinks affirmative action works. Pick the first minority person you see that fills some sort of quota whether they are qualified or not and give them the job. Instead of giving a helping hand to someone who’s qualified but whose starting line was way behind the others.

Yes! Normally, I'm all for my kids getting information from all points of view, after all, the purpose of education (at least should be) is to expand their minds. But if I were in that community I would purposefully complain as loudly if there was a book on the list that I decided was too conservative.

It's going to be fun for the teachers to have book lists where not one parent complains about something.

And you aren't transferring your anxiety to the child.

And don’t forget, God gave Mary a CHOICE in the matter.

Michigan, too. I weep for what's happened to my state.

Or when you don’t vote at all.
