I think he means the Equilibrium-film, by Kurt Wimmer starring Christian Bale. It was pretty cool.

I thought it was because...
Not a fan of the Cybermen to be honest, so I'm a little worried about this. Then again, Gaiman has rarely (read: never) let me down so I'm hopeful.

My interest is piqued. These are great chaps, the story sounds interesting, great time-period... But where will it air? That's what it all comes down to, sadly. Here's hoping for Showtime/HBO!
Holy fuck YES. A whole, delightful, bloody bundle of "yes"! So excited for this now. Red Band Trailer, you totally sold it!
Huh. I never even noticed that, but once you mentioned it, it seemed so obvious. You're spot on there.
Key word is some of the episodes. I've recently rewatched the first season + the Christmas Special, and there are very few "good" episodes there - though that's Christopher Eccelston's fault as well as the writing. Terrible casting there, IMO.
I always start reading these threads before thinking "why the hell am I doing this?". The written word is scarier than any horror movie.
That was beautiful and scary and wonderful and really great. Thank you for sharing it!
I know why he was turned down; BBC finally rewatched some of the episodes he wrote, looked at each other and said "Why the hell did anyone watch this?!".
Everything.
Yay for Lovecraft on this list! Boo for everything else. Why? Because now I have even more books to read... God I hate books.
Mockingbird Lane looks so fantastically weird and special. I'm very sad that it probably won't become more than one episode. :(
I love this film and completely agree with you; nothing less than an unsung masterpiece. Those visuals, the fun, but weird, humor, the action scenes and the feeling that family's important... The whole thing is fantastic.
The new zeitgeist this year seems to be Quest Adventure - heroes on the road looking for something to change their world. Revolution, Fringe and Supernatural are all doing it, and it's growing more and more popular in movies and books too. Which is great, because it's a genre I happen to love.
Yes. YES YES YES! Shane Black, Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley... This is going to be so, so, so, so good. I cannot wait to see this.
This show became fantastic as soon as season 2 started.
Holy fuck that is the first I've heard about this and it sounds AWESOME. That's something Moffat can pull off.
And we thought it was over... :(
