Indeed. It's a cool concept, and the more I look at it, the more I love it. :)

Yeah, red herring. If he comes back, I'll be very, very disappointed. :/
I don't care how he was inspired, or where he got the idea from; I was merely presenting Lovecraft AS AN AUTHOR and the basis of his Cthulhu Mythos to someone who hadn't heard about it. It had nothing to do with Supernatural, Christianity or any other religion. This was me, as a fan, presenting something I liked to a…
Can someone please make an all-CG movie based off of this concept art? Let's get Luc Besson on it, as his Arthur and the Minimoys-films are actually quite good.
And people are wondering why fans can't get over this series and its cancellation - the media, actors, writers and creators all loved it just as much as we did, and they are all constantly ripping the wounds open, never letting them heal properly.
I think The Doctor has a plan, or at least an idea, on how he'll beat death, yes, but the audience (me included) has NO idea HOW he'll do it. And that's what I'm looking forward to. :)
I was talking about Lovecraft's Cthulhu-mythos, not Supernatural or Christianity.
Would be awesome if they went that way (and with Sam's "visions", it seems like they're at least aware that it could go there)...
It's relatively easy to a giant squid, though. They're out on the sea, show a few tentacles, that's it.
I can't help but think how SIMPLE the story Moffat is telling was. IMO, The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon should've come later, because after those episodes we theorized us towards ALL the answers we've gotten lately.
If he does release Lucifer on top of it all, then we're in for a HELL of a year. :D
Yes, I did pick up on that. In fact, I mentioned in, and said that this might be a forthcoming twist in the story.
Hearted & Promoted.
There's the Christmas Special in between season 6 and 7, so I think it'll probably be resolved, yes.
They don't have a ton of money. That's why we'll probably get human-looking big bads this year too.
I'm up for it anyway, really. I love giant squids (ironically enough, Kraken by China Mieville), krakens (norse mythology, Clash of the Titans), leviathans (POTC)... Whatever you wanna call 'em. I just can't get enough, especially if they're actually an old God who someone thinks is going to end the world.
I really, really REALLY hope this turns out to be this season's storyline. The show's been teasing us for far too long with this storyline - with the "Mother of All" and "far more dangerous things there than monsters", the Lovecraft-appearance and the fact that Castiel basically BECAME Cthulhu at the end of Season 6.
It would, sort of, yes.
Looks like I need to look elsewhere for my fill of Giant Squids and Krakens this year too. And I had such high hopes...
Death namedropped "the old ones", and with Lovecraft appearing in the penultimate episode last season, this can't be a coincidence. It appears that the writers have twisted the premise about, since the whole "aliens"-thing doesn't fit with the Christianity of SUPERNATURAL (also, the show is called "supernatural", not…
