This argument holds little water. I bought MW3, played it for a month switched to playing BF3. Highlighted to my friends why its a more enjoyable multiplayer experience, they tried it and now we (almost) all play that.

Wait…. what? Treyarch has done nothing but rehash IW's game and tweak it. They have been doing it since COD 4. They use the same engine, the same UIs, same system (perks etc) And the things they do come up with on their own are terrible.

If you don't want people to compare your game to mmorpgs dont design it like one? Just like you do in an mmo once you hit the max level you farm out gear to complete (usually new) content.
