You think it’d be crazy to get rid of guns, but it is perfectly reasonable to shoot someone if they come to take your guns.

We could make owning a gun and/or ammunition illegal so that only criminals have guns, then arrest everyone with a gun. Perhaps we could include an amnesty period where people can turn in their guns without prosecution, I’d even be in favor of a buy-back program.
Thanks to relativity, your headlight beams will always travel away from you at the speed of light regardless of how fast you are traveling.
Now you are just trolling us, you are representing a position where you value science but then discount what it actually is.
Political Science is a humanities, civics, or social studies class. Just because it has “science” in the name does not mean it is science.
I remember that too, especially with the poor Sikh guys who were mistakenly targeted even though they are an entirely different religion. As soon as the shook and horror wore off, so too did the compassion and empathy. People pretty much started the hate by the time the weekend rolled around.
I remember that in the days after 9/11 there was a heartwarming outreach from and to Muslim-Americans (at least what I saw in the suburbs of Dallas, where families of the airline employees lived, no less). I distinctly remember being touched by the sense of community that transcended all the hyphenates. Everyone was…
If you are under 70 and attended a public school, then you’re rights were violated in clear defiance of settled case law. The supreme court ruled in the 40's that you don’t have to do the pledge and can’t be punished for not doing it at a public school.
I think the main problem is that they haven’t gone far enough. Obviously they need to spread the front wheels apart a bit more, for added stability, and use bigger tires for even more grip.
If they published pictures of the horrible effects of these weapons with every story about them and gun control “debate”, people might begin to realize the true horrors of these weapons.
The US Supreme Court already took care of this more than 70 years ago. Your kid doesn’t have to do the pledge, he cannot be pressured to do so, or punished for not participating.

We waged a war of aggression and violated the sovereignty of the Afghan nation, that’s about as illegal as you can get. We then over-threw the government and installed a puppet regime; that’s the nation-state equivalent of rape, murder, and theft.
We should have used targeted air strikes and special forces raids to capture/kill Bin Laden and destroy the training grounds/infrastructure.
We started a war in another country to “fight terrorism”. The nation of Afghanistan did not declare or provoke war with the US. The US invasion of Afghanistan can be justified, but it can also be argued to have been illegal.
I bet he’d “run out” really fast if the first 50 people in line are black.
Why? The gunman fired on the crowd until he shot himself. The police only entered the room after the shooting had stopped and the gunman had been dead for a considerable time. The shooting started at 10:05, ended at 10:15. Police made it to the door at 10:17 but didn’t enter the room until 11:20.
Remember, Elon’s other company, SpaceX makes some of the most advanced rockets on the planet. I’m confident that they can figure out welding.
“Rare Earth” metals are only rare in their elemental states and are quite abundant in oxidized (ore) states. Lithium is the 25th most abundant element in Earth’s crust making it more abundant than metals like Lead, Tin, and Uranium.
Because they meet all the legal definitions of a religion, there is no objective truth, and most of the laws of our country are written for the benefit of the rich.
