Very true. I'm not endorsing trying to out run them but I found it amusing that the officer mentioned that to me. He pulled me over because he liked my car. He asked me how fast I had run it.

Amusing list and well done. I once had a highway patrolman tell me that if we passed going in opposite directions and he whipped it around to go after me and I floored it (in my GTO) that there was no way he was going to catch me. I don't doubt it. Those crown vics are pigs.
Touche, Mr. Tubby.
Yeah, that's really cool. My only question is why didn't they illustrate the blubber? I'm interested to know where they install that in the car.
Awesome, Brian. That is well deserved.
Good timing for Wagon Wednesday. What a crazy contraption this is, though. Just don't mistake it for the cash cab or your little trip to mid-town could be REALLY interesting.
Now THAT is entertainment and very enjoyable. The in-car cameras were great. I felt a little jilted when they switched from following to leading but it seemed to be edited in a Gran Turismo video game style.
Well that looks like all kinds of fun. There's nothing like a closed airfield to present wonderful opportunities. I'm impressed with the CLS. Either you can turn off the traction control more completely or just the fact that it's RWD but wow can it light the tires while drifting. I found that more impressive than the…
It's a sad, sad world we live in. Isn't it? Too many reality shows and CSInamethattown.
Good list. It works for me. We need more tv shows with cars in them.
I am always amused at the Russian philosophy of "the guy with the most rocket engines wins".
Yeah, that's pretty much what I said only I used vehicle. Those are good, general terms to describe cars and trucks.
A car is not primarily designed "for carrying goods and materials". You keep leaving out the part that differentiates a truck from a car. That being the heavy duty utility nature of it. So by your application of the definition a semi-tractor is a car, a motorcycle is a car, a van is a car. Such a broad definition is…
This is as close as I can find.
In general a truck is a vehicle with a truck chassis (usually a heavy duty frame and high capacity axles), ground clearance greater than about 6", and a high torque engine to accommodate hauling heavy loads.
I think it's a Lambo, dude.
I agree wholeheartedly. Magnum P.I. was a showcase for the 308 as well as a solid TV show.
It's a good day when a second American F1 race is announced. It looks like the track could be interesting. I look forward to 2013.
They are trucks. Cars are not trucks and vice versa. It's really quite simple.
So the question was "What CARS are faster than you think?" and not only did people suggest trucks and SUVs but you CHOSE them for the list. Not one but four of them. Are you serious? Apparently the English language isn't spoken or understood anymore.
