That's what the BMW dorks want to 'educate' people on. Bimmer is supposed to be the car and Beamer/Beemer the bike. I think Bimmer sounds stupid so I call them Beamers.

Entertaining list and you included a culture lesson. Well done. It seems the cars with the most nick names are the low cost, long production run and widely distributed cars. That makes sense to me as they are accessible to a greater number of people for a longer period of time.

I'm gaining more and more respect for Kia and Hyundai every day. When they are the only company building low cost RWD cars (both sports and performance sedans) they get my attention. I'm a stalwart American car buyer but am softening to the Koreans. Especially since GM killed the G8 and Ford offers nothing in the RWD…
