We’re not quite there to the point where we can completely give up physical games. There’s still a place for them. We’re still not at a point where everyone has proper internet connections to take advantage of a digital only future. And we’re still having issues with licensed games getting removed from digital store

Has it been 12 years already? I remember when I was reading and seeing your video game reports on MTV News before taking the tall order of taking over Kotaku from Brian Crecente. Thank you for running a tight ship at Kotaku, and as a loyal reader, I look forward for whatever you tackle on next. After you long deserved

I don’t remember the hype for SFA2 being as big as the first SFA game. But I do recall the SFA series getting great reviews during it’s original run. At least from the GameFan magazines I read back then.

I completely understand the convenience and the luxury for digital. But for me, I prefer physical. And it’s primarily because I’m weary about the limitations of long term access for games digitally.

A few hundred bucks is expensive for a video game. Especially if you want a decent library. A lot of the top US Saturn games are over $100, that if you buy a few, it will end up costing thousands.

For example, a recent auction of Burning Rangers sold for over $500:

Aw man Chris, we’ll totally miss you. Also, thanks for the parting gift with your last video being on the Sega Saturn.

It’s actually a manga character named Springman. It makes sense if you look up the Japanese name スプリングマン on Google, and it won’t show that many results for Spring Man from Arms, but rather the manga character.

A lot of this is how I beat Hell House the first time. Except swap Thundaga with triple slash to save on MP for more critical moments (like when the Sweeper and Cutter shows up), as I ran out of MP faster during my first attempt so I was more conservative on MP usage on my second attempt. And having Elemental +

Playing Hard Mode is indeed tough, but it helps me learn the battle mechanics much better. Like dropping me from the shallow pool to the deep pool. I barely made it out from Chapter 1's boss. I wiped a few times fighting Corneo’s goods at the end of Chapter 3 on Hard Mode. Then things clicked, and I started utilizing

Hey, the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago as well! Nintendo notified me of a login via Thailand. The thing is, Nintendo for the longest time didn’t have 2-step authentication. They tend to lag behind most industry standards for online capabilities. So when I changed my password, I noticed the option for 2-step

Kotaku won’t be the same without you. As with most people here, I look forward to your new ventures. Especially that next book.

If you played Project X Zone 2, Ogami is the main protagonist of Sakura Wars 1-4. Sakura was the leading female character in Sakura Wars 1-2, which focuses on the Japan division. Erica was the leading female character in Sakura Wars 3, which focuses on the French division. Sakura Wars 4 actually combined both French

I dunno. Jason used his game delay powers to kinda threatened us with a Cyberpunk delay by a few hours earlier than you...

Jason also warned us about a delay from Cyberpunk on Tuesday if we didn’t behave. Thus making him a true Oracle.

No just the gaming Gods in general. Isn’t that enough?

I said this on Tuesday for the FF7REMAKE, and I’ll say it again... Another day, another delay reported by Jason Schreier, the oracle of delayed games.

You’re not crazy. I saw it twice in a row, and I believe they said it was the father that was Palpatine’s son.

The Saturn is my favorite console for that generation. While the PS1 is a JRPG powerhouse, I don’t feel like most games have aged well for that generation. Meanwhile, I constantly pop in a game from the Saturn, when you include the Japanese library. The Saturn has a ton of great arcade ports, as well as one of a kind

Yes, some games will require joycons, but it doesn’t force all games. A vast majority of their titles don’t require joycons motion controls to play. Again, there’s lots of different options for different experiences.
