Um, yeah...it absolutely has.

Now playing

Overuse of full auto fire and its result on troops running out of ammo too quickly in a firefight was THE deciding factor in switching to burst fire. It’s amazing how much easier it is to pick a target and hit it when you’re not simply trying to hose down an area around the target.

Assault rifles don’t fire 500-round belts, they fire 30-round mags, it takes time to replace those when they run dry. Even a couple of seconds allows for some degree of barrel cooling.

Open up a tab, go to YouTube and look up POF P416 meltdown. Then tell me how “quickly” heat can damage a quality battle rifle.

Counterpoint: One of the worst Bond films in the series.

big gap between 40 round magazine full auto and 2,000 rounds in 3 minutes.

Boo-fucking-hoo.

You’re saying something very different than OP was up there.

The biggest problem isn’t age, the bigger problem is Elba’s last film was a complete bomb.

She could play 007, M, Q, Felix Leiter, Moneypenny, and the villain by herself

And Casino Royale came out 11 years ago, so if Elba were to take the Bond role for as long as Craig he’d be almost 60 by the time the last one staring him hit theaters. I’m not agreeing with the other guy that Elba is off the table, but you completely missed the point of his argument.

But he was 38 when he first played James Bond, is the point here.

Yes, but he did not START as 49. He was cast at 38. They want younger for the role and pair him with bond women. Cast Elba at 47, first film comes out at 49. He would be in his 50's for the others. That, and the fact that he was not panned out well in his films, although that might not be his fault. But it takes its

This. The Idris boat has sailed, if there ever was one.

Hate to break it to you but Elba’s what 44-45 ?

Literally, the moment I saw the title I thought Ghost in the Darkness and then was even more and more disappointed to not see a single reference to a movie about this exact event! Thank you for making up for it.

Somehow this managed to be a good movie, even after Paramount and the stars of the film kept dumbing it down over and over and over again with notes and notes and notes. It’s got a great, muscular Jerry Goldsmith score and Vilmos Zsigmond photography. Plays much better today because movies are just so shitty these

Not a single reference to GHOST AND THE DARKNESS sorta feels like uncited sources in a term paper.
