if someone just wants to drop $10,000 or $200 a month for unfinished software that doesn’t do everything it was hyped up about just yet and let that unfinished software take control of your expensive car with your soft, pliant body in it on pubic roads, then, well, I guess that’s just one of those irrational car

This is California, so he will do 6 months for the burglary, suspended license for the reckless driving, and 7 years for illegally driving in the ev/carpool lane.

Imma sue the dinosaurs that became the gas

Perhaps motor vehicles should all come with factory ignition interlock devices that require a breath test prior to starting.

Do auto dealers have a duty to not sell vehicles to someone who may potentially drive drunk?  Seems like reaching here. I have a feeling if this made it to the Supreme Court it might get slapped down.

They should be, they willingly built a road knowing people were going to drive drunk on it! This is the same line of thinking as the gas station.

Not sure why they’re tearing it down, now that the road is closed just hit it with a truck going the other direction

“Beta 9” is far too optimistic of a title for this, considering it’s in customers’ hands. More like “Alpha 0.9".

These can be used to add water bottle cage mounting points to bicycles, either adding extras or just putting some on where there weren’t any to begin with. I put two new cages in the normal spots in an old Raleigh, worked great.

I can’t keep track of the number of people I see everyday who are driving at (or below the speed limit) who are actually just holding their phone up to their face... even in cars that I know have CarPlay/Android Auto... I’d say that’s a much bigger and dangerous problem than the people doing 5 - 10 mph over the limit.

I had a lot of fun maxing out a 2019 750d xDrive on the Autobahn a couple of years ago. It didn’t feel scary at all (even as I was quickly approached by a pair of supercars doing 80 kph faster than I was), because everyone knew how to drive.

Conventional wisdom says that the most dangerous drivers—and the ones who cause deadly or injurious accidents—are impaired, distracted or otherwise unaware. Speeding in and of itself isn’t the killer, although speeding often occurs while driving distractedly.

I hear there are people that do that professionally.

Personally, I’ll fight it until the day I die. I try to drive slightly faster than the cars around me because I don’t want to sit next to Karen trying to text her best friend Becky at 70mph for 5 miles, barely keeping the car in her lane.

I don’t see local police municipalities supporting this at all.

I’m amazed they didn’t do it years ago. Europeans invented the nanny-state. That said, having driven rather a lot over there from Finland/Sweden to Italy and , about the only place I ever did much in the way of “speeding” was Italy (because Italy). The speed limits are well-chosen as a general rule, and they are

It will not, we’ll just put tape over the cameras

Their idea of IEDs could be anything from sparklers still in the packaging to actual IEDs, though.

These are the same kind of people that say a bag of skittles are a lethal projectile weapon.

Love the car, and had no issues with the grill.  The improvement hasn’t made it worse, so that’s good.  I’ve wanted a Z for a really long time.  This might be the one to have...
