David, The deal with an independent front suspension (or independent rear suspension for that matter) vs. a solid axle is all about roll center heights and roll stiffness. Stop me if you already know this but the roll center of a suspension is effectively the pivot point that the body rolls around when you go around a…
Man, do you also go around offering drinks to alcoholics?
I’d guess when you see it’s not moving out of the lane with a fucking overturned truck blocking it?
I’ve gotten this question so many times, and never properly answered it. I still won’t, because the reason is complex, and would take a book to really explain. But here’s a small portion:
The most important thing to me in this life is meeting and connecting with people from different backgrounds and with different…
If I need to haul something that won’t fit in my GTI, I just rent a trailer and tow it. Lots easier to load and unload than even the smallest pickup truck, hauls more weight than a 1/2 ton can in the bed, and I don’t have to haul it around when I don’t need it.
Hi, I’m Jimmy from Jimmy’s Manure Delivery. All of our vehicles are Dodge Journeys, because they’re crap before we even load anything in them.
It is so so amazing to see this Free Valve tech finally make it into a production vehicle... I remember writing about that stuff when he was developing it in that Saab wagon when I was in college lol, feels like ages ago. Christian’s name will undoubtedly go down in car geek history for all of his unbelievably complex…
I literally have no words left for Mr. Koenigsegg or his company. True innovators of this era, unlike everybody else claiming to be. I mean, I just saw the Gemera that’s in the works and I’m in jaw-drop mode. Christian Von Koenigsegg is a national treasure and must be protected.
You missed one of the more interesting statements from Koenigsegg (from their website):
more like bat soup insane.
That looks like it might actually be worth quadruple digits.
I really didn’t need another vehicle, and but the Jeep’s lower extremities did look a bit crusty in the photos
I’ll pass on calling dibs. Few things are more humiliating than being underwater on a Hyundai.
Under braking its going to want to push in itself in, fom the inertia of its own mass and the drivers arms, activating the increased toe for cornering. While accelerating the opposite is true, and on a long straights I suspects its its going to want move back into a resting position decreasing the toe for aero, I…

I could have sworn I saw thousands of small sedans and hatchbacks with 120 - 170 hp engines doing 160 km/h+ in notable safety on the German Autobahn, but I guess those were all a figment of my imagination.
Most American drivers lack the skill to drive the speed limit.
Brandon sounds like a true friend. Broken cars are easier to fix than broken friendships, so go easy on him next time! Great story as usual.
