I find it absolutely appalling and disgusting that a company would choose to only improve on the safety features on the driver’s side of a vehicle because the testing didn’t yet include the passengers side.

I don’t understand or believe that a syncro can be worn out by resting your hand on the shift knob. When a gear is fully engaged, the gear, syncro and hub sleeve will all spin at the same speed, so there is no potential for wear.

Wet multi-plate clutches are designed to be slipped. Dry single plate clutches are not.

I was penalized on my driving test for having the clutch depressed mid-corner for this very reason. (I was just trying to drive slower than I normally would - I would normally have kept it in 2nd for a corner like that).
