I thinking more along the lines of a stock Z06 engine; 7.0L and 505hp in stock form. It can most likely make a reliable 550hp with very light tuning, and is less than half the price.

When I look at the numbers being put down by N/A V8s today, 600hp for a mammoth 8.2L engine seems a bit puny, especially when they charge $39,625 for said engine.

Would you rather have that or a gear-select knob with steering wheel mounted gear select buttons?

It's true that Kyle Petty didn't have a fantastic career, but he tends to do a fair job when it comes to commentary. He's very candid, and I find that refreshing in the booth. Is he the pot calling the kettle black? Perhaps. Maybe he sees some of his failed potential in her. I don't know what goes on in his mind.

Good in theory, but some streets seem awfully narrow. The Ritz section looks narrower than Monaco unless the median is removed. Where would the passing occur?

If it was an especially unique Mustang, I might exhibit a fair amount of facepalm. That being said, Mitt probably has a dozens of cars and just as many grandkids, so the purchase makes sense. With his money, however, I thought he would go bigger.

In theory perhaps. For right now, wireless charging takes longer than using a power cable to charge the vehicle. I don't think the charge rate could keep up with power use at racing speeds. It's nice that Drayson is showing a proof of concept though. An actual electrified track like a real slot car track would work

I'm Glad it's using the Ecoboost. It saves weight on the nose. In my mind, I see lowering the F-150 and throwing on some heavy-duty sway bars. Coilovers would be fun, but let's not get too crazy right now. I'd use the truck to tow my auto-x/track car to an event. At the end of the day, I'd park the car and do some fun

Environmental science is not my forte, but wouldn't there be a problem with water shortages if we start using our water to make fuel?

That would depend on whether or not his car had a self-park feature. Also, it would also have to be determined whether or not the servos which control the self-park steering have enough strength to overpower a person trying to hold the wheel straight.

This guy!

Now playing

Here is the view from the next car behind.

You know, I used to think a car was just a way of getting from point A
to point B — and on weekends, point C. But that was the old me. That
man died the moment I laid eyes on a 1979 Honda Accord.

Better label this headline NSFW.

The Formula SAE competition is in Lincoln this week. You should have stopped by the track.

Thanks. In think that's the first time I've really put into words how much it means to me.

Agreed. The regular 500L looks a bit off to me. This design is just right for what the car is trying to be.

When I was 15, I became the proud owner of a 1953 Pontiac Catalina Custom Coupe. 66 thousand original miles for only $6000! To me it was the greatest car ever; inline 8 cylinder, 3 speed on the column, a seats big enough to sit 4 across.

I think I'm getting nauseous.

Then you'd REALLY hate watching a Steelers game.
