I blew a latex tube in a track bike tire (at the velodrome, natch) at like 165psi or something (you run high pressures at the velodrome because it’s smooth enough to be faster).

I was on a road rode once and someone’s 110+ psi tire blew out. I thought we were being shot at. Not an unreasonable supposition in Arizona...

Yes. So many want the minimum wage set a 1cent per hour or something and then hero worship the dude whose daddy gave him the company.

Why is it so many people worship the rich? The cost of having billionaires like Jeff Bezos is thousands of people pissing in bottles in warehouses and overworked drivers like this guy.

Yes, this story is wonderful and indicative of the inherent good in so many sub-cultures. Yes, this story is also an absolute indictment of the country’s complete lack of anything…

Yep. This isn’t a heartwarming tale, this is a damning indictment of our healthcare system and the effects of weak labor protections.

All of this because he lives in a country where the cost of healthcare would kill him otherwise. This is all great and warm and fuzzy, but let’s not forget that this would not be necessary in a country with a working healthcare system for its citizens.
