I am not. I just can’t wrap my head around the fact, that jezebel tries to make a direct connection from KS allegedly making sexual advances to a minor 30+ years ago to his behaviour on the set of HOC, since there are no allegations about anything improper and on top of that, there is this ridiculous insinuation, that…
Counterpoint: His acting ability has kept these people employed for 5 - 6 seasons of work. The original HOC was only 6 seasons and was going to be cancelled anyway.
In a case of a man being accused of harassing other men, I am called a ‘mansplainer’ by a woman. That’s...cute.
What you just described is completely inaccurate. With the exception of a few people everyone is Union on a show of that size and are not considered”freelancers.”
So does Gawker.
On what planet is a newspaper expensive these days? I was just offered a New York Times 2 year subscription for $14.99!
It was a Family Guy joke in 2004.
When it comes to artists/celebrities/writers/etc. whose work I enjoy, I just assume everyone’s an asshole even if they’re talented, or at the best deeply flawed, and don’t really give a shit about them as people. If anything, I tend to be surprised more when it turns out some of them are decent.
Yes, I admit it: I like scoops to go to credible news sources. Escandalo!
Like I said to another commenter, I’d rather see these allegations come out via the NYT or another valid news source, not Jez/Gawker/Gizmodo because after the bullshit they’ve pulled in the past, I don’t trust their journalistic bona fides. They’re good at blogging about the news that credible sources publish.
No, I didn’t. What I did was question Jezebel/Gawker/Gizmodo’s journalistic bona fides. And I think it’s great if other Spacey allegations come out, but I’d rather see them come out via the NYT or the New Yorker and then have Jez blog about them. It’s what they do best, and I don’t trust them as news sources after the…
Oh yeah?
It’d be great if someone came out with some facts then. From what I can tell, Jez picked it up from someone who later denied she was referencing CK. Tig Notaro seems to think she knows something but hinting around it and never actually saying anything makes her claim seem somewhat less than truthful.
HEADLINE: Something
Did anyone ever get in touch to verify the Louis CK stuff you folks seemingly made up? I don’t remember ever seeing a followup article, though I may have missed it.
Short answer? Money.
That’s what he did on the set of HOC and that’s also in the Gawker piece? Um, I think not. Try to focus: “What exactly did Kervin Spacey do on the set of House of Cards?”
Maybe you shouldnt get your news and information from gossip site comment sections.
You guys can’t help it, can you? Nothing in this 2015 Gawker piece suggests anything non consensual or anything improper with a minor. The fact that HOC is coming to its natural end (just watch the original BBC HOC for comparison) is also a non story, made into a salacious tidbit by media vultures like you. It’s the…
