I appreciate your enjoyment of this PHEV, but to me, this is the worst of all worlds

A PHEV is my next car. I have 25miles to go to work, free Level 2 charging station there, I can drive back home in electric mode and charge at home overnight. And for longer (vacation/weekend) trip, no range anxiety. Meaning I can do 90% of my driving in pure EV. At this point, for my driving habit, this is a no

I bought a used 530e earlier this year.  Basically, I have an electric car for commuting and around town, and a gas car for long trips, which means never thinking about charging.  I can’t get enough of it.  Operating costs have been low, the car is quiet, comfortable, easy to drive, and plenty fast and fun.

PHEVs are great if you pick one that suits your life.

Wanting something RWD coming form an Altima, I think the logical progression takes him to a G35/37 coupe, right?

Can’t wait to see the disgusting price on BaT?

How often do you kick yourself for not pulling the trigger on an S2000 sometime in the past 10+ years?

I bought my house 10 years ago, but honestly it wasn’t very hard. I toured more than 3 properties personally, but only saw 4 or 5 with a realtor. The rest I toured myself.

I always thought This Old House was a faaaaar more accurate home renovation show. It takes an entire season to finish one house. The people involved have a budget, but also spend more due to delays, price changes, etc. than planned. There are multiple contractors involved in every step of the process. One episode even

I can’t get past the dreaded R-word with this car. You see, for $28,000 I could buy any number of classic vehicles that don’t have the 7 letter disclaimer attached to them.

The a-pillar nonsense and the chrome rims tell me all I need to know. Oh yeah, and it’s also a 30 year old car with 145k miles on it.....

Some big dealer networks don’t really want their sales people to be all that knowledgeable about the cars. They want they to know the sale process and routine. Too much knowledge about the product they are selling can get have a negative impact to their “sales process” :-/ The current model needs to die. The finance

Fair point, but if it were my job to sell something and there were only 6 different models and 4 different trims for each I would make sure and know more than anyone that walked into the store, jalop or not, whether it was cars or toasters. I’ve known some good salespeople, they know their shit.

Yeah but without dealerships, who would be there to give me attitude when I tried to test drive a Mach E?

I would exchange the CTS-V, its brutish N/A LS engine and stick shift...for the vastly superior STS-V, which had a much nicer interior, was larger, and came with a fire-breathing 4.4-liter supercharged Northstar V8.

Great movie. I think I am gonna go home and watch this and make spaghetti.

Too bad they will again give the middle finger to those of us who live in Indy and black it out. ::sigh::

500 mile ranges and/or 5 minute recharge times are going to be the tipping point. If automakers can’t get there with a reasonably priced vehicle the EV revolution is not going to happen as advertised.

Part of a private collection? I admit, I’m intrigued. Not about the Lumina but about the remaining contents of this private collection and who they belonged to. I picture Joe Dirt winning Powerball and going on a buying spree.

now we just need the shooting brake here in the states. I would honestly be one of the 10 people to actually buy one. for real.
