Worst car of the 2000s? It was an era in which we tried a lot of interesting things, not all of which worked. The Dodge Nitro was such an entry. It was hideous to look at. The interior was the worst of Daimler’s edict to cut 40% out of Chrysler development costs. It was big outside but felt small inside. I don’t know

Dodge and Chrysler dominating this conversation with force, eh?

While true, at the time when it was introduced I remember the 3.5 model with the VQ was a solid package.

I do not like this at all. I think the reverse-cant Hoffmeister Kink, bulky pull-style door handles and full-height grille ruin it for me. Which is too bad, because the prior (original) 4 GC was a real looker.

There is no redeeming this design.

Owning people who bought:

Those rear passenger windows pretty much tell the story of GM in the 80’s.

The flat brim, disposable income crowd are all driving Teslas.

Inb4 some salesman posts something about free capitalism and that it’s perfectly fine to charge 50k while providing no extra value whatsoever. Been eyeballing the C8 market and they’re INSANE. As Stingray markups begin to plateau I’m really sorry for those left holding the bag.

VW has put some horrible wheels on the GTI the last few generations. I am looking to buy one in the next year or so. I would have some aftermarket wheels drop shipped to the dealer and have the original ones thrown into a furnce never to be seen again.

The worst factory wheel is anything that is larger than 20". I am less bothered by design and more irked by loss of sidewall.

How about Chevy putting a square peg in a round hole?

Tesla’s

So they are going to compete wih gamepass by being worse and more expensive?

The original nose was always the best thing about this car. The stacked headlights made it sadly generic. Superficial? Maybe, but if you’re collecting this kind of car, it’s all about the style. ND for me.

The best writers left, so they’ll just start reposting the good writers still on board.

I own a 2000 Jaguar XK8, at $4k this seems fair, but I’d note the following:

I’m still traumatized by being stuck in 4 hours of standstill traffic on 395 a few years ago and having to pee SO BAD. From then on out, I kept an empty bottle in the car, you know...just in case. Because that’s what DC traffic is like. What on earth are these truckers even complaining about? Some of us used to deal

Maybe it’s just me, but I refuse to buy a car from someone who is a dick.  Life is too short.

Yeah, a few grand didn’t make much difference when I got my 15-year adjustable-rate loan for my F-250 King Ranch.
