A few things to note...

-These cars were NOT serialized, so there is no definite way to tell if it was a 7Up car or not (you can swap the interior/rag top for a few grand and it has been done before.... look at how EVERY SINGLE notchback is a CHP car.... because CHP cars bring 2x the money).
-These 7UP cars ROUTINELY go

I don’t know where the value of these cars are going. I think $20k for a clean, original and unmolested car may not be “insane”. This is not clean, not original and I pretty sure it has been molested enough in it’s life time to need therapy.

+1. I love those cars but $20K for a beat up interior and a supercharger that doesn’t work? This one may go down as the worst Crack Pipe loss in history.

The ad notes that the unit was rebuilt in 1998, but has more recently started to make unpleasant noises so it’s been decommissioned for the moment.

Nah - probably more like a 2 week attempt at avoiding being drafted.

Because the interest rates for used cars are bonkers as well, so for the same payment he can lease a new car under full warranty vs buying a used car that is likely has no warranty.

The Toyota Avalon is brilliant.

I think this car is design to be comfortable for daily use, not to be a race car to impress the Jalopnik, Autoblog, and Car and Driver crowd where everything has to be sporty to impress.

I was following this thing way too closely.

I love how old safety standards are always brought up. I know cars are safer now, but its not like these were some notorious deathtrap. Relax bud.

More than you can afford, pal.

“How Seth Rogen hasn’t remade this movie with him running illegal Colorado weed East yet is almost unbelievable.”

Wait, how could you not have seen Smokey & The Bandit before this?!

I’ve considered these on and off over the years, but as much as I like the styling, performance, and quirkiness of them, I can’t get over the interior. The dash and center console are just... unappealing to me.

$30k is the average new vehicle price.

Lincoln has no problem pricing the Conti into the stratosphere - it can get into the 80's. The problem is that while it’s a nice car, it’s not 80k nice. It’s maybe 50k nice loaded. And that’s the problem.

One of those cars that no amount of scrubbing will make the interior look clean.

You’re the fucking moron. Trucking GPS doesn’t exist. All fucking nav units aren’t guaranteed to steer an 18 wheeler I the correct path. Real truckers use road atlases to steer us clear from obstacles, not a stupid arrow on a screen. This is why I’m a professional class A driver with 1.5 million accident free miles

Seriously, someone dumps that kind of money into the truck and only keeps it for 500 more miles

Saw Range Rover. Saw that it was out of warranty. Saw that it was priced higher than scrap value. Voted CP.
