What HD (and anyone else that wants to make an electric motorcycle practical) needs to do is make the batteries removable so that they can be recharged while being able to continue riding.

They can ask $75k over norm if they want, but I’m offended by $2219 for a pinstripe (if applicable!), nitrogen, lost key insurance, dent ding repair, and paint protection. I would want a pinstripe about two feet wide that goes over the front bumper, hood, top, trunk, and rear bumper; I want the nitrogen in a canister…
To be fair, you’re within 1 second for a 1/4 mile of a new Camry. I also question the longevity of the supercharged/turbocharged-4 platform. Of course, BMW longevity is costly to maintain as well, so....I don’t know what my argument is.
Yeah, We still complain that our gas prices in the U.S. is still high but compared to other nations, we are having cookies. We also complain that we can’t get good 87 octane in some places. lol
First world problems.
The beauty of private industry doing things better, faster, and cheaper....
If you buy a Ford Fusion Energi, you’re doing so to get the bigger battery. The PROPER comparison here is the Ford Fusion Hybrid, which doesn’t have the so-called “penalty box”.
This person is clearly well off and I’m happy for him (and envious of his garage). But good god – with logic like that it makes you wonder what people actually do for a living that allows them to afford such luxuries in the first place. I just hope he’s nowhere near a calculator or a budget spreadsheet at work.
Edd’s shop work was the reason to watch the show.
No Edd, no workshop segments, no deal. So long Wheeler Dealers.
Edd and James May together? Could there be anything better?
Wheeler Dealers was the only car show my wife would ever watch with me. Ed would always explain and demonstrate the repairs, and Mike would show the parts availability. Together they inspired genuine enthusiasm instead of hollow emotional hype.
exactly. there’s no fake drama in the repair process, and Edd typically completes jobs that everyone might come across...stuck sunroof, leaky exhaust, spent ball joints...its definitely the best part of the show. Not everyone is trying to shoe-horn an LS motor into a 911.
And the sad part is that Velocity is absolutely right and adding more “drama” to the show will drive away all the hobbyists enthusiasts and gearheads, but draw in casual viewers by the droves.
Basically Velocity wants to remove the entire reason for watching Wheeler Dealers. Sorry to Mike, but aside from the trouble spots he seemed to look for, watching the shopping/haggling/sales process was boring and inconsequential. You knew the car would have problems, you knew he would deal down, and you knew they…
This has been, bar none, the best car show on broadcast TV. From the sounds of it, there is going to be such a format change that it may lose all of its original honest appeal. The other “car” shows on TV are just scripted reality show non-sense. And that’s not just compared to Wheeler Dealers.
Goddammit.
Was that always a garage? I just find it strange they would put vertical blinds and normal house windows... and a popcorn (ugh) ceiling in a garage. It almost looks like a 1980's living room converted.
9 Hours of sleep?!
I just bought an Audi A3, but not after Subaru tried to pull that same BS on me. I walked into several dealerships ready to buy a WRX, but they refused to let me test drive it despite showing them a loan pre-approval letter from the bank and my most current bank statement showing plenty of cash to cover the car. I…
Nice but where is the hatchback version?
