Doesn’t the front (and the back I guess) look Prius-ish? Is this the return of the CT200?

It is interesting out there. You have some dealerships who seem to see the writing on the wall and are advertising discounts again. Maybe not as deep as 2019, but I’ve been seeing $5-6k off pickup trucks again, for example.
Echo naming the “good dealer”. I’ll travel long distances potentially to avoid rewarding a POS local dealer.
$36k for a 7 year old car that was $42k or so new? With a tune? No thanks.
For the Escalade buyer that is concerned with high fuel costs?
And as others have said here, two windows it is far more easy to use. You can click changer switch without looking at it and control both windows. The VW system for four windows does not look that easy to use.
The $80 USB cable is some German manufacturer level BS.
It is a limited production, expensive, sports car that most owners probably parked in their collections and barely drove.
Yeah it sucks. Especially in this market, where I’m likely paying MSRP for a new Toyota, I’d like to get the colors I want and the options I want. I don’t mind paying more to get exactly what I want (to include not getting $1500 in accessories they seem to pack on every sticker now...I don’t want the OEM all-weather…
The regular Prius has $5k+ dealer profit add-ons right now, so the Prime likely will too. Hopefully it won’t persist as bad as the RAV4 Prime.
Oh boy, let me get excited for $8 beers (+tip), $20 drinks (that may or may not be well prepared), jam yourself into a table or a crowded bar, where it is too loud to talk to anyone. Man, that sounds amazing.
If they were “drunk” they’d be selling the Mirai all over the country. But they only sell it where there are 59 of 60 filling stations.
Toyota hybrids are some of the most reliable cars on the road. This person doesn’t know what they are talking about.
Toyota sells more cars with big batteries in them than anyone. I don’t get why there is this impression that Toyota engineering has never looked at electric propulsion of a vehicle using a battery before. There have been stories on they are arguably leading the pack when it comes to production use of a solid state…
I don’t doubt it. It just seems like it’d be tricky to get 7-8 of these “deals” lined up without someone coming to the dealership and asking where the hell their car was.
It seems like Toyota can’t keep their hybrids or PHEVs on the lot at the moment, so it seems like they are on to something at least short-term.
I don’t see it in the Miami Herald article either, but how did he pitch his scam? Was he just pulling names from a customer database and contacting them with an offer? Or were these people on the lot at the dealership and he pulled a “I can give you a special deal if you work with me”?
You can find G8 GTs approaching $10k these days. They aren’t in great shape and have similar mileage, but they also were never cop cars and don’t have a vinyl seat or some cobbled together center console.
I’d probably replace my 11 year old car if I could find something to replace it with. The cars that frankly work the best for our situation are still in short supply and being held hostage by dealers.
And having sold cars, we were supposed to tell you that car was in stock, no matter how long ago it was actually sold. Then when you show up, “oh darn, it was just sold”. Good stuff, really made people want to buy another car.
