I got it removed last time. Not sure I’ll have the leverage to do it next time.

Yeah, I remember seeing ads like that.  Shady as all hell.  Although reading the small print did reveal their attempt at deception, but I’m sure it did get butts in the door, which is all they care about.  Although I can’t imagine many customers were happy when they find out the car is actually $3-6k more expensive

On a quick scan, I don’t see anything that would suggest a CPO car is not actually CPO.

These apparently do not exist used anymore.  I searched nationwide for Park Avenues and it is only the 1998+ models.  Wanted to see if any ads featured these seat controls.

If the guy legitimately had turned the corner and left that world behind, I can’t imagine he’d be going around very often in public with short sleeves.  This was his job right?

I’ve seen it on some dealer sites.  I think it just trying to pad the profit margin.  Dealer down the street has a similar, CPO’d car for $30k.  Shitty dealer lists it for $29k...with “optional” CPO.  $31k after you add the warranty.  Just the usual nonsense.

I loaded up this site on mobile the other day without ad blockers and such...man it felt like I was on some site that was going to give me a virus.

$20k is probably too much for this car in the first place, but the seller’s willingness to drop 25% off the price is also a little bit a red flag to me.

Need these dealers to look out for the consumer against the evil manufacturers.

He confirmed who the dealer was in the comments.

Me either, but it looks in decent shape and I like the looks of it.  It is an Italian car, so I’m sure it is a money pit.  But its cheap enough to buy and mess around with for a bit.

Isn’t their whole subscription plan also known as “renting”?  It isn’t “ownership” if you just pay to use a car for 3 months and hand it back over.

I carry around one of these. Battery powered air, jump start if you need it. Yes, it is somewhat large and heavy.  Check the charge every now and then, plug it in when it needs it.

I read the Post article yesterday and the same Annapolis, MD dealer that was complaining about the Challengers also complained about the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneers that are rotting on their lot.

As someone interested in a Maverick, you need to add $10k to that number to find one in the real world.

While I’m sure 90% of the F-150 Platinums out there (and probably 250s too) are barely ever using their bed, they still have an open bed that *could* be used in that owner’s fantasy world where he needs to haul a bed full of gravel like in the commercial. It could be used to carry a load of lumber.

The whole situation just sucks now. I’m ready to replace a car. I’m fortunate enough that I can afford some of these more expensive vehicles if I want to. Problem is, I really don’t want to. I got other things to spend money on. And I’m certainly not buying two “expensive” vehicles.

This is it. Back when they were still made, I always wondered why anyone would want the “Indy Pace Car” edition of anything.   Gaudy logos, usually no performance increase.

I dig the color though.  I’d buy something in that color today.

Oh I’m sure your local Acura dealer has their own idea for that.
