Board = Lumber in this case. Carpentry is probably too generous a term to describe my work repairing rotted boards on my deck.

Right, the fact I can put a 10' board in my Prius is one of the reasons I like it.
Once again - What did these do particularly well that is worth preserving?
That is fair. I’d like a M3 or S5 (or even a Golf R), but all I think about is the money I’ll drop in the service department to keep it on the road. When I think about buying one, I usually say to myself “I wish Toyota or Honda made one”.
2005 Jeep Wrangler. Last option on a rental lot. I’m sure they’re great off road, but I needed to be on-road. In fact, I had to cover some highway miles.
While I’m sure there are a number of irresponsible people leveraging every dollar they have to buy a “cool car” that costs six figures, chances are your average $150-200k vehicle buyer is pretty firmly well off and probably sees a recession as an opportunity to buy rather than losing the roof over their head.
Some solid leadership there. Did they get their executive team from the sales floor at a Kia dealership? Sounds like something the guy who reeks of cigarettes and Curve trying to get you into a new Forte with a 72 month 10% loan would come up with. Seems like a sure fire way to piss people off and ensure they never…
I’d try to sit in a Prius. Or see if you can find a nice used Prius V if you are worried about room. A regular Prius should have plenty of backseat room for a car seat, and the cargo area should swallow a stroller and other stuff quite easily. Put the money you save in the kid’s college fund.
I’ve always heard they are nightmares for electrical issues.
Guess I should caveat that this was before COVID. And it is kind of sad that this is such a notable experience...every deal should be this straight forward.
Too bad the Kia is rated for just over 200 miles of range. And based on some tests I’ve seen, Hyundai/Kia’s real world performance seems to fall short of the EPA numbers. Kind of reminds me of their fuel economy numbers a few years back.
Maybe if it was stock and not in the northeast. When your ad tries to highlight “window visors” as a “goodie”, I start getting skeptical.
My brother apparently got one by “waiting in line at the Toyota dealer” but he also said his wife handled it, so I don’t know if he paid over sticker or not.
I drove with all-seasons in Upstate NY where significant lake effect snow falls. They were fine. You really had to do something stupid to go into the ditch or get stuck.
Man I am still cranky about CrossClimate 2's not being available anywhere for months when I was getting ready to replace my tires. Eventually had state inspection coming up and had to settle for something that wasn’t bald, so Defenders it was.
Do those “headlights” create any light on the road, or are you just going to be crossing your fingers at night?
To use the Prius as a generator.
Seems cheap enough, and I don’t follow the C3 hate. Yes, the post emissions model years will get outrun by a modern day family hauler, but it still a cool looking car in my book.
The engine bay looks a little...beat up? Photo of the exhaust laying on the ground, but no interior? Hmm.
I’d say give me a PHEV and I might get one, but even if they did, it’d probably be as easy to get as the RAV4 Prime. So never mind then.
