LED light bar stocks just plunged on the news.

I was commenting on the larger world of live sports/events.  Decent tickets to a concert are starting to commonly be $1000.  I mean I guess the Super Bowl fills up a 70k seat stadium with nearly all wealthy/corporate attendees, so I shouldn’t be surprised.

It looks better on a chunkier car than the 4-series or M3, but I’m still not going to say it looks good.

Are these things just full of rich people now? Or are regular folks just spending their mortgage payment on tickets to a race (or concert, or baseball/football game)?

I grew up in Upstate NY.  Every plow truck I saw was a pickup.  More usually a HD pickup.  I’m guessing there is a reason why the people plowing driveways didn’t use Jeep Wranglers.

People buy these because they have every bell and whistle for $50k. If you want a Q7 with every bell and whistle, you’re over $80k.

Agree. While I don’t have much heartburn about my current decade old vehicle getting 22 mpg, I really hope the replacement gets better gas mileage.

I mean there has to be a limit to the potential use for this “strategy” right. Riding a wall at 100-something mph, it probably doesn’t take too long to damage the tire, suspension, steering.

I generally like most everything about this and if I had the kind of money to buy one, I’d be interested. But I’d want nice paint, and what the hell is up with a 4 speed auto? It is 2022, you couldn’t pair up a modern transmission with the modern motor? I know the ZR1 didn’t have an automatic, but there has to be

Yeah I think this is a very cool car, but I’d take mine with fresh paint while I am spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a restoration.

I agree. Those wheels are a much better way to get bigger wheels (and the brakes behind them) without ruining the look of the car. It is subtle, you notice they are bigger than than they were originally, but on a quick glance, it still looks “right”.

Or Panama on a loop.

Who is this for? Anyone who “demands” exhaust noise as part of their Challenger is also going to balk at the idea of an EV in general. They’ll be buried with the Exxon Speedpass and a few drops of gasoline on their hands from their last fill up. This thing could produce the most realistic and “badass” “exhaust note”

Or they are bequeathed to uninterested kids who are stuck with a museum piece muscle car that gets 8 mpg.

So I already avoid your slideshows, and now instead of just writing out in text what the premise is here for discussion, Jalopnik wants me to watch a video.

I feel like this is targeted at my “wrong side of their 30's” demographic and I’ve never heard of this brand until now. I also don’t know why I’d want a mutant Grimace with 4 eyes.

Since it is EA, will the parts be locked behind micro-transactions?  $1 for a set of wheels.  $2 for a wide body kit.

It is kind of cool, and the interior looks great from the pictures.  $7500 though....not from me.  No idea if it is right for a Mercedes enthusiast.

Enough with black wheels already.

I just don’t see a lot of certain trim levels at all.  I routinely checked for RX450hLs with the luxury package this past year.  They are almost never in stock, and when they are it is like black/black color scheme.  Who wants that when there is Nori Green available?
