This is what I’d be driving for a “winter beater” if I still lived in the snow belt.

So $100k for a $40k Challenger with a decals and Pep Boys looking shit like those headlights and Hurst stickers.  Good luck with the sale pal.

I’ve gathered from the comments that the Outlander is based on a Nissan Rogue.  Guess you needed to be in the know to get it.

Can anyone explain why you’d have a camera filming inside your car? Is this guy an Uber driver or something? I get filming the crazy people around you, but why film yourself?

Is the diesel motor just that expensive?  Wonder if they’d save money switching it to gas even though that means a new tank, fuel system, etc.

One of my local dealers still has their Bronco First Edition listed for $108k. A price cut by the way from what it has been at previously. They also have a Big Bend marked up $30k and $20k on a Badlands.

In a recent David Tracy article about his “Fleet reduction plan” someone suggested he’ll buy a POS AMC because he can’t resist. And here we have a POS AMC. $5k is probably too rich though.

Erase COVID from the history books and I’d probably be buying another car this year after replacing one in 2020. Instead I’ve replaced neither and I wouldn’t try to do so right now unless forced because the car was totaled or suddenly became unreliable.

Just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you want to. I know in my area, if I wanted to live closer to my office, you’re looking at neighborhoods built in the 40's-70's. Not everyone likes a 1970's floor plan. Want a big lot for the kids to run around? Get closer to the city and that might not exist outside of some

Yeah I looked at one for HOV access and was shocked at how expensive they were, even before COVID and used cars became stupid expensive. Dealers had to basically give them away when they were new, so I figured their used values would reflect that.

Maybe even with less than 100k miles.

Buys brand new Jeep this spring. Next fall “Why I am driving a ‘97 Mustang GT this winter”.

Yeah I just had to do a double take that it wasn’t local to me, or else I’d be considering grabbing it.  There are far worse deals out on the used truck market right now.

Is your brother ever going to collect that Mustang? Surely he must know that you need the space for the latest rusty pile you get a tip about.

It does sound worse than it used to be.

I’m guessing the buyer throws around $100k like I would $1k, so probably not a big deal for them.

People have been doing this before the “car shortage” to find the car they really want without a special order, or to get a decent price if you live in a town with no competition for the local dealer.

Do the 2000-2007 Monte Carlos count as “muscle cars”? I guess they were not the slowest things in the world, but FWD is just doing it the wrong way.

I could swear this van or something exactly like it has been covered on this site before.

Seems like the same thing as GME last year.  Lots of desperate people reading about people making money, so they push chips in hoping they hit too.  Hell, you could buy the stock right on your phone.
