Artificial gravity, inertia and radiation sickness are all dealt with pragmatically in virtually everything I read. These are probably the most easily addressed with good engineering. I personally enjoy writing about civilizations without faster than light communication. I love allowing for inertia and heat

Even odds, the powers that be at Syphilis will insist that spaceships and space travel be scrubbed from the premise.

There is no denying that I personally dread Monday. There is no denying that Tuesday is a little better for having gotten Monday over with. This sounds like a study that presupposed its own conclusions although I obviously do not know.

I love these scientific pronouncements on intangibles and opinions. This "study" assumes two things: 1) it is empirically possible to externally quantify a feeling and 2) that I am incapable of making a value judgment about my own moods and energy level apart from popular culture influences.

But it has nothing to do with conservative or progressive. It falls out along religious lines. Some of the most vocal opponents against gay marriage are Catholic democrats. The African American vote on Gay marriage falls out STRICTLY along religious lines (and I hate to list African American as a demographic - it's a

Tax dodge.

How many Kirk-alien hybrids are wandering the galaxy filing paternity suits? I'd love a show about an aging Kirk, long retired from Star Fleet doing odd jobs to pay for thirty concurrent child support payments.

The question of alien consent would be in play long before the US entered into legal discourse. If aliens refused likely many would agree with their perspective. There would be no shock.

I might do just that. There is also the possibility that Opera and Firefox share enough common DNA that pug-ins may not be hard to transpose.

Well that I can't argue with. It was a strong story - strong enough to handle a few layers. My point was simply that homogeneity as a motif is actually not a stupid notion. I would agree with you that it was a bad choice but I can see the argument being made. Easily, in fact.

Whoah!

And believe it or not you just hit on the reason WHY it would be important. Because it SHOULDN'T carry an overpowering sense of other. Which is the message of the film.

Well visit the forum over at http://kotaku.com/kotakufix/forum and put in a request. It works well enough in Chrome and Firefox that it's kept me here. I don't have much attachment to IO9 since Kinja chased away the people I used to talk to. Were on Google now so there's that.
