Might get the Japanese model for MUSHA alone. Used to own the cart for my own Genesis but sold it before the prices skyrocketed. Even importing the Japanese MD Mini is likely still cheaper than buying a (legitimate, there seems to be a fair number of bootlegs) MUSHA cart by now...

I remember back around the time when the first Athlon/Duron CPUs came out (Late 90s/early 2000s) that the local computer store had big signs on the motherboard shelf that said basically “Do NOT run an Athlon CPU without the CPU cooler installed, you will fry it immediately!” Fortunately I don’t think that would happen

Just picked up Baba is You last night, so I’ll probably try to work my way through some of that (started watching some YouTube videos, stopped watching because I’d rather try to figure it out myself first.) Possibly also some Dead Cells, although I’m mostly waiting for the 1.2 update on the console versions for that.

The good news is that you can probably sleep through Iron Man 2 and 3.

On very rare occasions I’ll ride the Cascades line up from Seattle to Vancouver BC. That one’s not too bad on the Talgo trains, but it’s still a four-hour ride (3 and change if you go from Everett instead of Seattle) for something you can do in 2.5 if you drive and the border crossing isn’t backed up too much. And if

Two of the games on that list are easily the third and fourth most played games on my Switch (behind Disgaea 5 and BotW, and the first one is is such a ridiculously grindy timesink it kind of takes the spot by default.) Hollow Knight is a $15 game that’s better than most $60 games I’ve played in the last few years,

A wise game dev I once knew said the following:

It depends who’s behind it.  Over the years MS has made a lot of products that were considered to be terrible ideas until Apple made something similat, then it was suddenly brilliant.

Picked up Dead Cells (Switch) again after the 1.1 update reached consoles, and I’m enjoying it a lot more than I did on 1.0, which felt really unbalanced. Still getting hammered by 1BC, so there’s still plenty of gitting gud required.

I was so looking forward to seeing Manziel crash and burn in the NFL until he wound up on the Browns, then it all just became depressing.

Mine seems to charge just fine off a USB-C port on my desktop.

The Switch can also charge off a standard USB-C connection, so you may not need one.

If I’m playing anything this weekend it’ll be Breath of the Wild. Picked it up with a Switch about two weeks ago and I’ve been playing mostly on the train since. Currently around 18 shrines completed and getting ready to take on Vah Ruta.

Just bought a Switch a couple of weeks ago to use for around 2 hours of daily train commuting to and from work. So far I only have Breath of the Wild, but it’s the type of game you can get a good 200 hours out of. Pretty impressed with what the Switch can do so far.

Mine gets used about 90% of the time in portable mode, and was bought primarily for that purpose. I have a fairly long commute on a train with poor wireless coverage on most of the route, so I wanted a portable device without a dependency on an Internet connection. This does the job quite nicely.

Definitely the power supply. Second (but also important) would be cooling. Without clean power and good cooling you are never going to have the stability you need to really push things. My current system has been running a fairly aggressive overclock (i5-3570k) for almost five years now with very good stability.

I take it by now we’re never going to get Julius Belmont’s game?

I never played games in class (didn’t have the means to, now that I think about it it’sb probably a good thing I graduated high cool school when most of the available cell phones were still bricks) but I spent a bunch of time playing games outside of class and after school. The first time I saw Doom was on a PC in

Note that the above post is from 2010.

Playing through Disgaea 2 PC currently, I’ll probably continue with that. Spent way too much time on the PSP version back when it came out, but I doubt I’ll end up with another 200 hour save file this time around...
