From what I understand the pilot advises on the docking procedures and navigation through the harbor, but the ships crew remains in command of the vessel. Generally rhese ships do have data recorders similar to planes though, so that would likely be used as evidence in whatever investigation may occur.

My wife and I have been rewatching MacGyver off and on recently. and although it comes across as rather corny these days, it still holds up reasonably well as long as you follow Bellesario’s Maxim of “Don’t think too hard about this”.

If I had to pick a single best soundtrack for a game for me it would be Super Metroid. It’s one of those things that just makes the ambiance of the game so much better. This one is probably my favorite (Brinstar Depths) with the Maridia Depths theme also being very good.:

Washington just has a ton of weird place names period. Among plenty of others you have stuff like Tumwater, Humptulips, Skookumchuck, Chuckanut, Dosewallips, Nooksack, Stillaguamish, Pysht, Oyhut... The list just goes on.

There is some evidence that seems to suggest that the regional exclusives have recently had their spawn rates increased. Over the past few days I’ve been finding a lot more Tauros than I was previously.

Psyducks (and even the occasional Golduck) seem to be pretty common spawns near water. If I go out to the Seattle Waterfront I’ll generally catch at least 3 or 4 Psyducks, a few Magikarps and often lots of Goldeens. Shelders and Seels are uncommon here, but tend to show up on occasion a bit further away from the water…

Although they rarely seem to have anything I’m all that interested in, IndieBox does some really nice stuff. I picked up the Luftrausers one a couple of years ago with all sorts of cool pack-ins.

You don’t need to root (at least on Android) to location spoof, all you need to do is turn it on in developer options and download some app from the Play store to set fake location. Checking for rooted phones does nothing to stop that.

I think a lot of the problem is that they don’t seem to bother doing anything about location spoofing, which is a big part of the botting. I’ve seen apps before that refuse to work if location spoofing is enabled in developer options (I believe the Coca Cola Freestyle app does this) so I’m not sure why Niantic allows…

I just wish it was less inconsistent. The other day I was able to catch a CP 986 Aerodactyl on the first try (using a Great Ball and Razz Berry) and then the Magikarp right after that one broke out of six balls and dodged three more. And it seems that Zubats/Golbats can get into a state where you literally can’t throw…

Ariel looks like she just turned Flounder into Sashimi, and Sebastian is next on the menu...

Things seem to pop up in clusters. Yesterday I got something like 3 or 4 Jigglypuffs, today it seemed to be Eevees and Drowzees. I had at least one Squirtle show up as well, but the server went down before I could catch it.

I didn’t really have that problem. In my case, the real problem was it was rather RNG-dependent, and I ran into one with just the right set of traits to make him invulnerable to just about everything with no weaknesses, and he quickly made it to warchief at max power level.

Considering that the monster seemed to win about 80% of the time when I used to watch Twitch streams of this, I’m not expecting it to be too big a deal.
