Seriously. I’ve been dying to replay it for years now. My PSP is in really bad shape though so it’s kind of a hassle. Would love for a port/remaster.

I guess if anyone’s really curious about that video, I did find it:
I’ve been saying this for so long now! It’s crazy that a game like this, in the FFVII anthology is still only playable on the original freakin’ PSP! A lot of original PSP games can be purchased digitally on the Vita, and some have even been ported/remastered to PS4 (such as Type-0), but amazingly Crisis Core has not.
I really love this game a lot and want to see what Respawn does next if it’s worthy of a sequel (there’s definitely setup for one). The only thing that kept it from GOTY candidate for me was the lack of anything fun to do outside the story, other than exploring for cosmetic items and four hidden beasts as side bosses. …
Oh yes, you’re right. I should have mentioned I think Syndicate did have some interesting stuff. I remember there being an interesting showdown with two of the main modern day Templar baddies, a female character and the male one who is featured somewhat prominently in Black Flag or Rogue and then on from there, he’s…
I hate that the modern day plot stuff is basically nonexistent now. Like, there’s lore and stuff there, but it’s so diluted and in the background. A lot of it is locked behind tedious journal entries and whatnot. I liked it more when it was front and center, and the plot had a lot of stakes to it. It was still only…
Governors and FDA: We cannot stress this enough, do NOT eat people!
Shitty “Americans”: Fuck you! It’s our god-given right as yeehaw Americans to eat people if we damn well want to!
Trump: Well, the cannibals are actually very nice people...
While I love the revamped combat and new features, quality of life changes, etc. from Origins onward, there’s still something fun and quaint about the Ezio trilogy up until maybe Syndicate. Plus at this point, the modern day story has been pretty much abandoned it feels like (I haven’t played Odyssey yet but...)
This makes me thirst ever so more for a God of War 2018 sequel. This looks interesting though. God of War leaned heavily on the Norse mythology and the lore with the gods and etc. This clearly seems to be more focused on vikings themselves, more grounded, etc. The shoutout to Odin there makes me wonder if there will…
My dreams! They are dashed! Haha, oh well, it would have been funny.
Yeah, I couldn’t help but think how this would land with completely new players, who probably only know of Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, Tifa, and basic plot things through pop culture assimilation and etc.
The whole whispers and “defying fate” plot thread has the potential to be interesting, but it completely hinges on…
Somehow Kotaku read my mind on two separate things and it’s a bit creepy. I literally thought to myself last night, “Oh... what the hell happened to that Streets of Rage 4?” and then later, “Hmm, I wonder if there’s a new AC coming out... and I am sick of AC yet?” And boom, articles on both topics the next day. Creepy.
…
If that’s not enough for you, playing the game gives you the opportunity to unlock Every. Character. From. Every. Streets of Rage Game.
They’ll both work, but the materia is just double I think and only works for that character. Beating the game unlocks 3x for everyone and it should stack with the materia. Definitely go back in chapter select and get that materia at some point.
My personal recommendation would be to wait til chapter select for Bahamut at least. I was just shy of level 40 when beating the game and that was enough to beat every other summon. For Bahamut, but specifically getting all the intel to unlock his fight, I waited til chapter select. Mainly because of the 3x AP boost…
Decided to jump back into BL3 after a little bit of a hiatus (quarantine was allowing me to really catch up on my backlog so hey, I took advantage). Besides the newest expansion which I need to try, there’s also this Revenge of the Cartels thing, another cap increase from 53 —> 57, and Mayhem 2.0 among other things. A…
Meant *elevator not escalator
I’d also like to re-promote the great Tim Rogers’ translation series of Final Fantasy VII that covered this specific moment and the fact that Tifa had a VERY NSFW line to Barret during this part (a very mysterious translation in the English version apparently).
1:36 in case it doesn’t autoplay from that point.
Damn it! I thought this scene was omitted in this version. Now I have to replay that chapter. Was definitely something I enjoyed in the original.
Agreed. Beating Jules with Squats was just a matter of a few tries, learning the rhythm and speed, and practice, taking advantage of him falling down, etc. You’re even allowed a minor screw up.
