If you can stomach it, this Politico piece on how Trump’s base in PA feels about him now is worth reading just to illustrate how disconnected from reality these people are. It’s worse than even the caricatures of them suggest. There are plenty of jaw-dropping passages, but this one jumped out at me.
I wish lawyers didn’t like to pick other lawyers for juries. It’s never stopped them from choosing me. Four times serving out of five, and the time I was dismissed it was after the defense attorney asked who drank at least once a week and dismissed every woman who did.
They also say that lawyers don’t like to pick other lawyers for juries.
Where else can you wear sweatpants in public while eating pizza and drinking beer at 7am without anybody judging you?!?
Celebrate for tonight, because tomorrow we have to continue pushing forward!
That’s what pisses me off. I don’t begrudge Brazile selling a book or telling her story, but she had to have known that this would cause a stir before a very important election, and that’s shady as hell.
Yeah seriously. Looking at your Brazile. Ya really screwed the pooch on that one. You just had to release that fucking book and go on your little book tour a week or two before voting day. And NOW you want to change the discussion about how you don’t think any wrongdoing was done. Timing, sweetie. Timing is…
And how about this one:
I haven’t seen this one come up here yet...
You left out the question that the reporter asked Trump at the press conference in South Korea; which was a brilliant question and should turn into a talking point for anyone who wants gun regulation:
Meanwhile, in Japan, Trump skips the local cuisine and orders off the children’s menu.
Of course, the unsaid postscript to the mental health excuse is “...and we’re not going to bother tackling that one, either.”
According to one poll, the Democratic Party is very unpopular right now
Proud to say I voted straight Democrat ticket in Virginia today; hope enough others did as well to make Northam our next governor.
I fucking hate the “Mental Health” excuse shit. Not only is it demeaning to people who do actually suffer mental health problems and aren’t just domestic abuser thugs but they always go “every country has the problem”.
Jump cut doesn’t mean it was shot in one long take. It’s just intentially edited to disorientate the viewer. The “jump” is the suddenness of the transition.
Because a good portion of that scene was already in the credits of Dr. Strange, it felt logical to me because we knew it had to happen.
In these troubled times we need as much Carly Rae Jepsen as possible.
Those are fun facts! I had no idea he helped launch Food Network.
