Aren't we often hearing that men do in fact ask this question, and that it is women who have so much trouble asking about salary ranges and so forth? It is a small part of why we are not overall paid as much (a SMALL part only). Partially I think it is because when women first started seeking higher education and

That is Troi's blue dress :)

I believe that what will protect her is that she is a celebrity (I certainly hope it does, anyway). People have made public outcries before but 1) people pay less attention to outcries of non-celebrities; and 2) if anything untoward occurs to Remini now, that in itself will be another outcry.

Now playing

oh I love that :-) I watch it when I;m depressed :)

I find it hard to believe that CBS didn't know about these attitudes or likelihood of racist comments through casting, and select these reprehensible individuals exactly because of the likelihood of their behaving exactly this way, with no concern about exposing the cast members of color (not to mention all of

What a useful though depressing overview.

I know. If Jenny McCarthy's replacing Behar, it;s frightening to consider who will replace Hasselbeck - perhaps a Real Housewife of NJ? Or maybe they'll go the other way and replace her with HOW GREAT WOULD THIS BE — Lindy??

Unfortunately, it is Behar that she's replacing, which makes it all the sadder. I agree with hildy.johnson that there's nothing wrong with trying and failing, and she must be funny and nice in real life, or people wouldn't keep believing in her. It's just sad that the smartest person on The View is being replaced

How about 'in private browsing' and suchlike options... are they really any more private than regular browser windows? I've always been a bit suspicious, would be interested to know if they really work so I can google 'gout.'

Really? I want her as one of my bannermen.

It was five white women, one woman of color, just for the record. I doubt it's any wiser to dismiss "white women" and presume you know why they voted as they did, than it is to dismiss or fear young black men who wear hoodies. Not that I think it matters, but I'm a white woman and I disagree with this verdict.

This is not a word I ordinarily use but EHRMAGERD!

The thing is, the patient might VERY easily recognize him or herself if they happen to check out their doctor on FB..... especially that cute way FB privacy settings have of going rogue - I'm surprised the doctor hasn't thought of that.

These are hilarious - especially since the women aren't primarily singers — the first one is a business major. I don't understand pageants — aren't they coached to pick a song they know they can put over really well? It is not logical, Captain.

That's seriously a great album, I love the Louvins. But yeah, serious taste fail there (though they knew their audience!).

She had a squee attack!!

Gratuitous racism ruins another perfectly good meme :(. Food Network was right to can her but it is a bit hypocritical - what must she have been saying on set all day long all these years?

I meant that Melissa should read the article before *she* spouted off about stress being the cause of breast cancer. I know you weren't talking about that situation but the issue of vaccines spun off of that basic topic, I was commenting on the larger conversation. Sorry!

You don;t have to support the government blindly to visit people in a hospital, an it doesn't require an official invitation. Of course people in the military would love visits from rap and R&B stars — they are young people in their twenties, of course they love that music, and soldiers come from all ethnic groups...

Many I know were already against vaccines - still for no good reason, though - before JM opened her idiotic mouth. She is providing affirmation for an already existing stupid movement only too happy to have a so-called 'celebrity' mouthpiece and she's also using her son to stay in the public eye, which she certainly
