perhaps, but she's got a big ass - ya gotta give her that!

on a related note, i was having lunch with a friend on the WB Lot this past Monday and Ice T and Coco (and his security entourage) walked by and sat near us. i can confirm her dimensions are as exaggerated in person as they seem in pictures. talk about a rear ending!

my father handed me down a Chrysler Fifth Avenue as my first car (after my brothers had had their way with it) and "Nautical" is appropriate, as you could practically get sea-sick from the swishy suspension. i nicknamed it "Sharky" because of the gill-like vents on the front fenders.

hah, now i know why my father had me drive a Chrysler Fifth Avenue (the sister car) as my first car. and yes it made me suffer (and used up my AAA membership benefits)

i'm partial to that 1972 Corvette Batmobile, but ole Bats was a real swingin' bird in his Jag-based Batmobile:

"...catch a cobra by the toe..."

cool vid, thanks for sharing!

hah! i actually shared that Testarossa listing back in September 2013:

I sympathize with ya, Jason. You sound like I did when the first Michael Bay Transformers movie came out. I ripped it apart, and still do whenever anyone gives me a chance to.

" 1974s are going up too due to being the last stingray."
It's funny to hear you say that - I hear that statement from different people about different years of the C3: the 72 is the "last" because it still has chrome bumpers; the 74 is "last" because it doesn't have a catalytic convertor (is that your reason?); the

very cool, not a bad hobby to have. I'd still like to get my hands on a '69, but after I've checked off a few other cars off my bucket list.

well, all cars have baggage and stigmas, and the Corvette is no different. However, I haven't really gotten any negativity (at least not to my face, ha) and most people I encounter appreciate seeing a not-so-common classic car. at worst, the thing with C3's is that the owners are generally older, but that is usually

these are them:

they're made by MB Wheels and sold by Discount Tire (aka America's Tire). these wheels (15 inch) had the look i was going for, had the correct backspacing, and cleared the brake caliper. like i said, i had them powder coated satin black.

i need to take a proper tire/wheel pic as I've been asked several times here and on the Corvette forum. in the meantime, here's a crappy, blurry crop that shows some of the detail, including the 'crossed flags' Corvette emblems I put on the center caps.

exactly! I almost take it personally when I hear people bash late-C3's as slow. In the context of its contemporaries the Vette was one of the fastest sports cars of that era - an era in which performance was compromised across the board, and you weren't spared even if you wore a prancing horse on your fender.

thanks, it's an '80 (built in October '79). I will always be a fan of C3's of all years... even the 76's with Vega steering wheels!

thanks!

thanks!I was looking for something a little different than Cragars and such. It took over a month of searching and test fitting to find a black wheel that would fit without spacers and clear the calipers. These were originally machined/polished finish and I believe intended as truck wheels, but they worked for me so

well, Patrick, I guess you, me, and my beast can't be friends.

they needed someone else's fingerprints on that Mustang...
