perhaps they're both at fault?

also: i forgot to ask... what does the horn, if it has one, sound like?
when i imagine my wife driving it i hear a cute little "meep meep" horn sound...
so you live in Los Feliz, eh Jason?
I've been promising (threatening) my wife for years that i'm going to trade this little car for her 3-series.
the owner of this car also has that classic pick-up truck, right? i think i've seen the Electra up in the pick-up bed, that's how small it is.
i was working at one of the large movie studios here in Los Angeles, and decided to take a golf cart out for a spin after hours at dusk. i wasn't authorized to drive it but i figured i'd just drive around for a bit to explore some of the movie sets and then return it, no harm-no foul. well, because it was dusk i…
i missed that accident by about 5 minutes. i took the 2 fwy south on Saturday, exiting Fletcher just before the 5 fwy, a few yards from the accident. i parked at the Silver Lake Reservoir and noticed the black smoke nearby. and the black smoke just kept going, and going... didn't find out till later what had happened.
Michael Bay should be ashamed that an 80's product tie-in cartoon had more character development than his billion-plus dollar crapfests. of course, we all know he has no shame (or talent).
streetview, please...
anyone else here on Jalopnik get to see the movie at that first test screening last year?
because, i thought the film was fucking great. and not 'great for a racing movie'... just great. great storytelling and great character development. can't wait to see it again when it's released...
i've driven rental versions of both. my general impression was that the Charger was a bit more 'blue collar' and had a firmer ride, where the 300 had a more luxurious feel, better/refined interior and design, and the ride was more 'plush' (definitely swishy land yacht).
yes, from the official investigation: "they done fuck'd up, big time."
look, shit happens. ALL people, even cops, make mistakes under pressure. sure, they're trained to follow protocol (and they obviously didn't) and stay focused without acting emotionally, but it happens and will continue to happen. as long as there is a human component attached to any job, there is the opportunity…
by my logic? i'm just putting the situation into context. things happen in the blink of an eye, especially when tensions are as high as they were. i'm not defending the shooting of the innocent women, that should not have happened at all. obviously, protocol was not followed.
also, i just heard a moment ago on the news that the two officers he shot at earlier in the morning (grazing one in the head) in Corona were at a location protecting another potential target on his list. so he had already attempted to murder police protecting potential targets just a few hours before this unfortunate…
happened before dawn, while dark, and the women's truck had the lights off as it drove by the house being guarded by police.

the latest: police have found a burned-out truck matching the suspect's vehicle (four-door late model pick up, roof rack) in a remote area of snowy Big Bear mountain. heavy police presence on scene. swat team and snipers have been choppered in and are also on scene in 'strategic positions'. unknown if the suspect is…
ah, didn't know that. i thought perhaps they were just relabeled, slightly-modified LS motors.
