This reminds me of a rather intense part of Red Mars.

I never get over how weird it is that I might not see my cat all day, yet as soon as I leave a cardboard box out, there she is snuggled up inside it.

That was one of the reason's I stopped playing GTA Online. That and it's a massive grind ranking up.

Having read all his SF and currently about halfway through his non SF (reading The Business at the moment), I'm glad to know there's one more book coming. Though I don't want to get to the end and hit that feeling that there's no more to come : (

Only until the terraforming kicks in, after that it'd be pretty awesome - assuming we'd had the longevity treatments to get us to that point.

I haven't seen Wild Palms, but heard Bigalow was involved. Strange Days is one of my favorite films though.

I see Escape From New York as a spiritual sequel to The Warriors: The gang problem in New York gets so bad they just say fuck it, wall off the island and turn into into a super max.

It's not that complicated a novel, but is hard to sum up concisely without sounding too grim or surreal, and the less you know about the plot, the better.

I like it; it's simple and stylish and, as said, seems very befitting a time traveler. I bet there will be variations of it through his run. The Doc's (the Doctor wears Docs!) are a nice touch.

The BBC seems to have a terrible track record when it comes to keeping tabs on things, especially anything related to Doctor Who pre-revival.

I've read James Cameron's script for Strange Days, and it's clear he must have been reading a lot of Gibson at the time.

Kathryn Bigalow is one of the few director's I'd trust to have a go at Neuromancer, given how awesome Strange Days is. In fact I think she had been in talks to direct Johnny Mnemonic but it never came to anything. What might have been...

Did they? I'd not heard of that, though it'd be cool to see it again. As for bessie the last time that was seen in Dr Who was in Battlefield, way back in the late 80's.

I'd pay good money to see Clarkson driving about in Bessie.

Thanks for that! I've never seen Supernatural, though I do like Mark Sheppard.

Yes, very much agreed. It seems to me it's almost madness to have a show like this run by one person.

Why not have more than one show runner? Two or three like minded individuals to run the show and spin ideas? Seemed to work for Gatiss nd Moffat with Sherlock.

"Wu?!"

What is this from? The only Crowley I know is from Good Omens, by Pratchett and Gaiman, but I've never heard of an adaptation.

Ohh, right! Good point :)
