Brilliant Rob. Who-ligan is so much better than Whovian. I'll be adopting the term and doing my part to spread the word.

There's already a built in out for The Doctor's hair: all the way back in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, River Song said that the last time she'd seen The Doctor he'd shown up with a haircut and a new suit, so there you go.

When I saw the second trailer for T2 I was very surprised to see Kyle Reese, and thought, "Are they bringing him back via some time travel trick?" Not to be,it was a dream sequence, and a deleted one at that.

Well said. I'm English, have been here a while, and have gotten by OK for the most part. Having said that, I'm actively trying to improve my French, which is tough (I'm aware how bad it is, so so can be shy about speaking it), but have found people to be generally quite helpful. As for the nastier side of things, I

Not to nitpick or anything, but Montreal's an island, and Toronto is mainland, albeit next to lake Ontario.

By car it takes roughly around 6 hours, but the plane trip would be very quick.

I don't have much to add to this, and it may sound trite, but in regards to the header picture, even his name is annoying and helps me to loathe him. Joffrey??? I mean, come on!

That makes a lot of sense, and is rather chilling.

Fuck it, I'm in. I honestly haven't seen a Nolan movie I haven't like, if not loved.

I just came back from this movie, and while it didn't stun me as much as District 9, I'm still feeling rather overwhelmed by it; and while taking note of the issues Annalee rightly pointed out with the film, I'm thrilled that such a film was made, released in the summer, is doing so well, and most important, is

Well, I suppose they could bring Palpatine back as a Force Ghost, to taunt and tempt some young Jedi; a kind of anti Obi-Wan, if you like.

Not the most epic, but one of my favorites.

Well, he's only including TV here. Fortunately 8 had a very long and active life in the books and audio plays.

Magnificent.

Every time I saw a Bloater I was like "Oh crap, do I have bombs?"

I t has it's fun moments for sure. Maybe I'm being a little unfair to the film.

Urr, urm... it's not a very good movie. Not totally awful mind, but I didn't get an awful lot out of it. Though Copley is very good as Mad Murdoch.

Same here, though he has quite the range of accents he can pull off well. He was the best thing about the A-Team movie.

Many citizens of the Culture are humanoids, so I'm not too worried about that. I think a bigger worry would be budget, for one thing (the Culture novels tend to be epic), and the subject matter as well; Banks was a socialist and the Culture series explored the idea of a communist utopia - they even had a saying that

Agreed, and like Star Wars it's established that a lot of the people in The Culture are humanoids, in that they look human; a lot of the differences are internal. That's actually a plot point in The State of the Art, where the Culture visits earth and only about half of the GCU's crew look human enough to visit the
