Also know as the “Opel Kadett” in Europe, where it hit the markets in 84 (86 in the US I believe?). It was certainly more fitting. If they were made today they would probably be called the “Opel Newbie” or some such.

You lied. These got old pretty quick. These videos were made by self righteous douches. I especially loved the top one where the guy was speeding going 15 over by his own remarks, complaining about someone wanting to speed faster than him. I mean come on, you’re embarrassing yourself. God damn hypocrite.
Can you see out of the new one? That was kind of a bummer with the old model. You couldn’t see shit.
Congrats!
Not to my knowledge, no. It has never even been an issue as far as I am aware.
Since apparently no one has mentioned the car yet, let me be the first to point out that this car looks hideous. That yellow on the steering wheel and the door interior made me cringe. I’d call that “pee-yellow”. Absolutely disgusting.
Indeed, we don’t.
I’m sorry that you are not so enlightened in the matter though I hardly blame you. Yes we do have a problem with air pollution in the cities. There are two main contributors to this fact. Diesel and cold weather.
I’m glad to contribute and shed some light on the matter. I was less than impressed by this article and its obvious bias. As for you moving back to the fatherland, I’m sure you would be welcome to. Use http://www.udi.no/en/ if you plan to immigrate. It might be a bit bureaucratic though and I’d advice you to search…
This incentive, amongst others, was made so that driving EVs in the cities would be more lucrative than driving a gas\diesel car, thus benefiting local air pollution. Not really that stupid.
It’s basically not how it works, though.
I’m from Norway. This article needs a clarification. The tax incentives and general benefits EV-owners experience is a result of a political agreement made way back before Teslas were even thought of as a way to make owning EVs more liveable. As you may recall, EVs before Tesla were generally horrible and had…
First ever Russian dashcam video where the driver actually gives some sort of reaction besides the odd curse or sigh?
Wow! Love this. Thanks!
Holy crap. At the end when the rest of the train comes knocking, nothing to do but to pray to what ever higher power you believe in.
Is that Dutch?
You should have waited 6 days and it would be a full year since I wrote that comment.
Hey JALOPNIK. Yeah, you guys. The banner at the top of your site, which used to lead to the Jalopnik front page, is not working anymore and has not for some time now. Any plans on fixing this?
Volvo, amongst others. has been working on a similar solution for some time now.
USS San Francisco collided with underwater terrain going max speed.
