Someone needs to come up with the VQ swap for these. BMW engines are obviously trash but LS1s are played the fuck out. But I think it’s important for a BMW to have a 6 pot under the hood. With a true dual exhaust VQs sound like Porsches!
My god, have I stepped into an alternate dimension where Tavarish is no longer shilling for BMW? I wonder what else is different. Did the Nazis win WW2? Did we elect Hillary instead of that black guy?
You’re not clever.
You forgot “dullest” in your description of the characters. And the actors playing them.
You could blame the Europeans for that one: though intended to be a world car, the Mondeo / Contour always seemed more of a right side of the pond appliance.
My mom had one for a while. I remember the steering rack clunking like a box of rocks over every bump, and that the door handles were backlit.
You could actually see out of the car.
My God! Look at all that glass, those were the days.
you know what this car is? cheap as hell. dependable. beige as fuck.
as such it provides you with a disposable commuter car that you don’t mind when it gets dented, doored, vandalized, broken in to or stolen. you don’t mind one bit driving it on shitty ass city roads with car eating potholes.
it is a disposable…
I didnt watch it! I demand quality ellio videos!
Flowmasters sound alright on a Chevy 350 or something larger. What they sound awful on are a Fox Body 5.0. Its literally like two whales mating.
However, VW engineering manager Hans Arschloch told Austria’s Motorung that cheat mode was an accidental—if fortuitous—discovery made while testing out the TDI’s twin-clutch (DSG) front-wheel-drive system. Arschloch explained:
The big reason would the 4 engine design. For an aircraft that is of critical importance (and more likely to be targeted by hostile action), the added redundancy is worthwhile. The second floor also lets them isolate secure communications gear and the presidential suite from the rest of the aircraft a little better.…
Turbo Redblock provides 75% of the fun for a LOT less of the cost. They. Do. Not. Die.
Driving around without a timing belt cover is a recipe for disaster.
*sigh* no. $9K -might- have been entertainable if the rust issues were already managed. But the platform and the mods don’t support that when you’ve got sheetmetal replacement on the horizon (that pic is visibly flaking rust, there are going to be holes under that trim... now, or when the metal pulls off *with* the…
Rust issues aside, I love everything about this car. The mods look tasteful and proper. Plus I love Volvo wagons. Nothing too ostentatious about what the owner has done (apart from maybe the seats), and it looks like whoever did the work knew what they were doing. Beyond that, being a 1975 model, you won’t have to…
