High amperage, don’t mess with high amperage.

Firefighters and EMTs certainly aren’t. Powderized metals are not stable and will spontaneously ignite when exposed to air and some emit flammable gases if exposed to water. Aluminum powder is literally used as fuel for solid rocket motors. Not exactly something you want sitting around the house.

Not really, I just drop the car off at the mechanic, couple hours later, I go and pick it up with new plugs installed.

Fair.

Alpina is pretty much the only one I can think of outside of manufacturer skunkworks divisions (e.g. Polestar, Mazdaspeed). But that’s probably only because BMW wouldn’t allow any company who plays games to work so closely with them to feature their work in dealers and online. http://www.bmwusa.com/bmw/6series/AL…

Three 2015 Mustangs were the cause of the problem

Steve Saleen proving once again that he and John Hennessey really are brothers from another mother.

Off course!

Well-written article with good info, but how did a “kidnappers forced a couple into the trunk of a car at gunpoint” turn into a “woman” in the title?

I personally love the fearless “who gives a shit” attitude towards safety they have, it reminds me of how I like to do things. I’ve gone for drives in cars with no brakes, no hoods, no lights, etc. In Arizona it’s even easier to do that since the police aren’t nearly as present here. I’ve been driving my latest car

As someone else stated, the FnL guys completely went around the rules.

They also broke the rules as agreed upon if I remember right. It's easy to lose at your own event when you follow the rules and your competitor doesn't.

I often wonder how the Roadkill guys manage to take their cars out for a spin around the block without getting busted. No windows? Let’s go for a ride. Whoooaaaaa no brakes! No problem!

It depends on the state - some have more stringent rules than others. Older vehicles generally get a pass regardless, because of “antique” registrations that they qualify for. This means they’re not really subject to any kind of inspection, even in strict states.

They couldn’t have installed a safety harness...?

Please. It’s still an excellent site, and no one will do away with the advertising unless it becomes a subscription model.

Jalopnik was an excellent site before being gobbled up by the Gawker cunts. It’s barely hung on over the last few years, and will hopefully be sold off during the bankruptcy restructuring to someone who does away with the shit advertising.

I find much Kinja/Gawker content very annoying, but its ongoing support of Roadkill is happily appreciated.

This is so tacky that it looks like it was the pet project of that arrogant-asshole of a boss that we have all had who thinks he knows everything, but in reality has never done, and has no concept of the basic fundamentals of the work he’s in charge of.

Yes, tractors could do all those things. Double the weight with iron armor and guns and your mileage may vary.
