How is that thing legal? it is a death trap, yet it is allowed to circulate while the feds crush skylines and defenders. We definitely fucked up at some point.

The stars on the flag are 6' point to point. Your tour bus you’re on can drive down a stripe.

Land that thing on a Carrier... it will be able to land backwards. In fact, there is a Russian plane (Antonov An-2) that oficially doesn’t stall and can have a fully controlled flight at 30mph. Any headwind above 30mph will allow it to fly backwards.

Yea Tesla will beat it on the first two runs while the Porsche can do it all day consistently.

Best out of 10 and the Porsche would crush it.

What the fuck. Poor France.

Fucking coward.

i think you mean awesomized

The best part are the guts of it - planetary gearset!

That is not at all difficult. Anyone (well, many people) can exert 150 lb a couple of feet from a pivot point; that’s 300 lb-ft.

one of my proudest moments is busting a gear off of a very expensive motor shaft with a angle grinder... without harming the shaft! Risky but worth it.

It’s not that hard when they’re cheap.

I keep wanting a reason to buy one of these torque thingamabobs- a friend had one that was for tightening the nut on helicopter rotors

Did the guy even un-bend the lip of the spindle nut that keeps it locked in place—Because when you replace the nut you hammer in the nut lip into that square recess in the center bit to lock it.

From what I can see in the pictures (second picture, he says the first was after assembly)... he didn’t completely undo the stake in the stake nut. I can see witness marks where it looks like he tried and he claims he did, but it doesn’t look to me like it’s completely clear of the threads.

Just Rolled into the Shop is one of my favorite places to visit. It’s fascinating to read about situations like this which I haven’t had to tackle myself (yet). Every once in a while I’ll learn about some special tool that I didn’t know existed, or a technique I’d never thought of, or certain cars that maybe I don’t

Screw drivers aren’t for prying, they’re for driving screws.

I hope my funeral procession opts for a different type of donuts.

When my wife died we debated on putting a mug of tea in her casket. She would make and drink a 64oz mug of Lipton tea every day. I decided against it due the travel from the church to the cemetery and not wanting it to spill/leak, but I did make sure her favorite mug was in there.

Her Epitaph:
