Yeah, I've gone and changed all my icons on my main homescreen too and K-9 was the one that started it all. I now have a very default look with most "official" or default icons (icon from the official FB app for my alternative, default email icon for k-9 ect.).

Misread the article title and thought that the 1.7 adventure update (i think thats what it is) would have a mystery adventure where you try to find out why you're alone in this huge land or something similar.
