I understand what you're saying. Let's say, for example, that you want to wear a kilt because you value your sperm and the fresh feeling of the breeze blowing 'down there'. It would be kind of weird to wear the Scottish formal plaid if you're not Scottish, but perfectly ok to wear leather, camo, wool, or whatever you

You can create a Pinterest board for the "the beauty talk." Capture un-shopped pics of current "great beauties" in movies and TV to show how different they look from each other. Big noses, little noses, coltish figures, curvy figures, dark skin, ginger freckles, straight hair and untamed curls. That will help them

If polygamy is legalized, I would like to see it as all parties married to each other, with the requirement that all parties must sign their consent to add a new member to the marriage. I don't know how that would work with benefits, which to me, is the whole point of gay marriage. Can a company be forced to extend

That's an interesting idea for those that live in states without same sex marriage protections. They only quandary is that you have to keep up your corporate documentation with annual fee, but it's worth it to avoid having assets taken by the state or grasping extended family members.

That's probably because he hears it from Limbaugh and regurgitates it. I have a relative who is a fan, and he spews that stuff at every opportunity. It's Diddo Head Tourete Syndrome. They hear a key word... teacher, insurance, weather... and bam, they'll treat you to Rush's latest sermon.

You said that so well. This is how I feel about the new Marvel and DC Universe movies. Whether the issue is casting by color or female character costumes, I just think, "Should we protect and nurture 50 year old prejudices, or allow the story to progress into the new century and reflect society as it is today? "

If a woman tries to prevent you from seeing friends or demands x number of texts a day, that's abusive "controlling" behavior - not "needy" behavior. But I guess that's too powerful a label to give a little woman.

I'm so glad! You might like Mental Illness Happy Hour if you're into that sort of thing. It's about how people live with various disorders. Also very motivating.

You should have been the one writing the article - those are real life hacks.

You could even say radiant

I think Jill Russo Foster said it better http://www.jillrussofoster.com/2011/06/24/why… because she addresses the idea that comparing is senseless simply because you don't know the whole story.
Why does that guy have a great suit? Why is that guy homeless? Is your imagination spinning a little morality tale right now

I heard a slightly different version. "You have to know what you want in life first. If you want different things, you'll grow to hate each other because you're standing in each other's way. If you want similar things, your love will grow because you're helping each other's dreams come true."

It's because the US has really strong class and caste system. Money defines the first and racial makeup the second. We deny it all the time, but it's true. Read the comments from sorority sisters. I guess Australia is more democratic than we are.

I could never write to Elizabeth Shepherd or Nicola Conte - too lovely, too dynamic, too everything. They'd pull too much of my attention. :)

Quiet conversations work best for me. Backstory, The Bugle, Freakonomics, Judge John Hodgman, The Nerdist, Popstuff... sometimes The Todd Glass Show but he's almost too entertaining. I need a show that I can tune in and out without feeling like I'm missing too much.

It depends on the work. Podcasts are great if I'm working on graphics or websites. The stories and conversations make me feel less burdened and bored. Plus, I can tune out occasionally to focus on work and not really miss anything important. (Apologies to Chris Hardwick, Todd Glass, Judge John Hodgman, etc.) Classical

That's how mine is set up. I tried the "top of computer at eye level" and got a crick in my neck from angling my head down all day. Mid-screen eye level means I rarely have to move my head from a relaxed position.

My mom can't stand Neil Diamond - partly because she loves a strong tenor, you know, a voice with range. For myself, I was disappointed that crowd track didn't seem to include the "so good, so good, so ef'ing" good part of the song we all sing in bars.

And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a ruined eye
That's always open

I wish there was a way to bump this to the top of the page. With a few exceptions like yours, this is the saddest most horrifying comment section I've read on one of the Gawker sites... did I accidentally stumble onto a Fox news or Limbaugh message board?
