Can someone please explain to me why an animal giving birth is so goddamn important? Rome is burning around us, yet we’re all too busy cooing and fawning over a giraffe.

As someone who has lost a parent, this doesn’t make me give up hope. It just reminds me how awesome the love of a parent and child are.

Good point. I think if, like me, you were a young adult in the Reagan era and lived through what was the beginning of the end of the Soviet Union, you definitely get more out of the show than if you grew up after the fall.
