If you’re looking the third time will work. If not, you will fail again. Trying to plug a cable into the back of the PC under a desk without looking is never a good idea, and almost impossible if it’s a USB cable.

Working at tech support, you’d always get people cursing us out for starting troubleshooting there. And the people that yelled the loudest were usually the ones that had to apologize and call themselves idiots after we ask them to humor us and start there.
Holy crap, A+ certified we must bow down to the mighty one. A five year old could pass the A+.
If it’s the old floppy power, I did that myself. Wasn’t paying attention and plugged it in. Flipped the switch, smelled smoke, shut off. Then noticed it was backwards. Floppy never worked again, but thankfully nothing else broke.
And here I thought the Howlong went a long time without building a PC. Didn’t you wonder why the power supply didn’t have a built in case switch?
Showing my age but back in the military when we fixed our own computer equipment, we had procedures for everything from preventive maintenance to changing out a motherboard. Had to use a checklist for performing all maintenance no matter how much experience you had.
Also, trying to plug in a USB cable without looking and having a flashlight pointed on it will fail every time.
I was wondering about the guy taking off the cooler while it was running and yanking the CPU out. Did he not stick his fingers in the fan blades or at least hear the fan running? How is it possible to be that oblivious?
Or get a grinder, whole bean coffee, pour bag right into grinder, and fresh ground and brewed coffee every morning. If you need to be exact with you measurements, then use a scoop to remove the grounds from the grinder...otherwise dump the whole grinder bucket in the machine.
