I actually see this as a National Security issue if you want the truth. If Creationism is allowed to be taught as ‘fact’ then our students will fail to learn critical thinking, actual science, and as a result, reduce America’s ability research, innovate and fully participate in the Global Economy.

I like a lot of stuff about Christianity, but Christians are really starting to annoy me.

As I mentioned in another thread, I really liked AoU—at least for now, considerably more than the original. One not-really-spoilerish quibble I have is not really with the movie but with one of the kind of passive aggressive shots people have taken at MoS through praise of AoU. That has to do with the amount of time

While it’s not blue and pink, Harley Quinn in the new 52 Hot in The City volumes is less Black and Red and closer to a dark shade of Blue and Red.

Count me among those who, in the immediate aftermath, disagrees with the sentiment that AoU is not superior to the first Avengers in just about every way. I mean, it’s still pretty far from a perfect movie and there are a few plot lines I could have done without entirely, but I found it a much more enjoyable movie.

Exactly. 2 minutes into the movie, and we were already getting stuff on par with the biggest money shots in the first Avengers. These movies have a way of sucking out your cynicism and allowing you to just be swept away for the ride.

Until I read this, I had no idea Scarlett was pregnant during filming.

True, important for Banners arc was only the rampaging part. But I say it was also important for Tony and his relationship to his friend or the Avengers in general. He is willing to protect them from themself even whan that means he has to knock them out. And that he only trusts himself and his technology.

Wrong. They rarely CGI’d her face onto a stunt woman. They CGI’d a slimmer midsection onto her existing body body. This has already been confirmed in interviews.

Spoiler: Flawless movie. Didn’t feel it was over-stuffed. And I mean, the SHIELD episode had not even aired when Age of Ultron went to cinema here in the EU. I don’t know. Maybe I read tooo many comics to feel like it felt overstuffed?

He was the dark parts of Tony Stark in a robot body. Ultron is a much better arch nemesis to Iron man than a Chinese stereotype with magic rings. I’m hoping post-Secret Wars Marvel follows suit.

Oh that opening....

Color me relieved, although I have to wait till Monday to see it, now I can be unabashedly excited all this weekend! And at least I get to see it before AoS, which I am actually just as excited about.

Took me a bit to get used to Spader as I always read Ultron far colder and less snarky but you soon had to enjoy him and his great talk on how he truly thinks he’s doing right by the world. “Every now and then, God throws something down on the planet and he’s winding up the pitch.”

I immensely enjoyed this movie because it felt foundational in the sense it was clearly setting up that next big push for what would be next in the MCU. It felt a bit more disjointed than the first one, which just knocked it out of the park when it came to pacing and dialogue. Some of this movie felt forced, and some

Finally. Finally, finally, FINALLY we get to see a real version of the Hulk going full-scale bugfuck on a major city and it’s glorious how terrifying such a thing can be.
