My friend doesn’t understand why people donate money to streamers. I explained to him that it’s like tipping a waitress. They are providing a service to you and you thank them monetarily. The service in question here is both watching them play a game that interests you and/or tuning in for their personality.

Oh yeah, Jenkees could absolutely put the funk back into Sonic tunes. He would have awesome potential for the series!

“We can’t save the world from a CD player. So put us back in the Dreamcast and let us do our jobs!”

Played/own Generations and really enjoyed it. Seeing Classic Sonic in proper 3D made me smile ear-to-ear. But I still want a proper, 2D, sprite-styled sequel to Sonic 3 + Knuckles even 20+ years later... and now I’m getting that with Mania!

Hm, I’m not a music buff so my terms may be all off but that song you linked seemed way, way, WAY too heavy on the synths. There was also little-to-no downtime in the melody so it’s just this constant barrage of synths with no ear rest, either.

No no no! You’re not being persnickety at all! The physics in the early Sonic games—especially in Sonic 3 which, in my opinion, was perfected at that point—was so good that it has become the defacto standard for all future Sonic games to follow suit... but none of them really have matched it since.

Definitely agree that it’s tempo isn’t syncing up with the game’s tempo! Even if the music was slowed down some I still feel it’s missing bass and that classic, old school funk found in many early Sonic songs. This sounds... cookie-cutter.

Oh I don’t need to Google his name. “Stay Crunchy” is still one of my favorites by him. Are you saying he is indeed doing the music now or that you’d like for him to be doing it?

Maybe. I was thinking that, too. But there’s virtually no bass in the song. Genesis could pump out some bass at least!

WHY IS IT SO OFF KEY?! This sounds like Elevator Muzak of GHZ.

Oh really? I avoided Sonic 4 like the plague. Visually it looked bad. The animations were stiff. From the game play videos I saw the physics looked all wrong. And I don’t remember anything about its music which is saying something.

Seriously: I’m so pumped for Mania. This is the Sonic game I’ve wanted since playing S3+K.

Something about the music... it’s just not sitting right with me. Feels like it’s hollow or missing something. Visuals are looking great just like Generations and Classic Sonic is the only Sonic so that’s also great. On that note: Can’t wait for Sonic Mania!

What I’m slowly learning about this game after putting 50+ hours into it:

Awesome. :) I had the monthly comic plan for these Sonic comics at my local comic shop too (located in the mall). However, for some reason or another, they never got a copy of “Super Sonic vs. Hyper Knuckles” for me on hold.

It’s not so much the value that makes me keep them. I remember bringing a stack of these Sonic comics to elementary school with me and my friends and I would gather around the big tree outside during recess (or after school program) and read them. Or I’d share and we’d read them during lunch.

I recently pulled out my Archie Sonic comics. I have well over a hundred issues which includes all of the first fifty issues (including the first-run of issues 0-3) along with the complete spin-off sets for Sally, Tails, Knuckles, etc.

Poo love <3 Always enjoy watching him play Mario.
