You’re probably right. But there’s nothing in the game that, even when I play it to this day, makes me go, “Man... wish this was done differently.”

I still like Tooie but it was a bit overwhelming for my early teens’ self. (Can we talk about that Cloud Cuckoo Land level though... good Lord I’ve never been more confused in my life it felt!)
Surely you have a game(s) that you love enough to go back to periodically. It may be a game I never had any interest in playing. So yes, if the roles were reversed, that would be outlandish to me, too. But for what it is (a charming, collect-a-thon platformer) it hit all the right notes with me.
Oh yeah totally. But Heather is saying the Banjo that exists in my head never existed. I disagree because I play it often because it’s just that good to me and it’s exactly as I remember playing it as a kid. Playing this game has yet to feel like a chore or obligation nearly two decades later and it still holds up…
Very true. But memories and emotions impact any judgement new or old. We like to think we can be 100% objective but as humans we quite literally can’t be.
Happily the biggest issue with BK was resolved in the XBLA re-release; Note progress now saves without having to get all one hundred!
Have to disagree with that opening statement: Banjo Kazooie is exactly how I remember it as I still play it every year or two to this day. I realize you’re making a point about rose-tinted glasses distorting our memories but Banjo was and still is exceptionally good for what it set out to be.
Ba-bum.
Oh really? Yeah, they need to take the G-Mod approach to this. Props can change an infinite amount of times and hunters get hurt shooting regular props. Can the hiders in CoD4R at least pick up and move props around like in G-Mod?
No euphemisms. The detail in making her hair look like that is very impressive.
But man that’s an excellent sculpt and paint work. I spent a good minute looking at the back of her hair alone thinking, “How the hell did he sculpt that?!”
In this particular scenario the (gaming) client isn’t demanding the moon from the For Honor devs; they want legitimate game-breaking issues for a game they purchased fixed. Connectivity issues really are that bad. And the in-game economy is so frugal that Ubisoft doesn’t even try to hide that they’re making this…
My two friends and I are taking an indefinite break from For Honor as well for most of the boycott reasons mentioned. And we took this break before hearing word of the boycott.
If the Twitch streamer True Talent can play a Lawbringer for the first time ever and beat a 15TH PRESTIGE TOURNEY PEACEKEEPER it makes me think a bunch of people are just being cry-babies because, well, that’s what this is.
I haven’t purchased a CoD since Black Ops... 2? Maybe 1? I’ve rented them but never bought since then because a) they just haven’t been as fun to me since MW2 and b) I detest how much Activision tries to nickel-and-dime people.
Wait, they’re charging for a handful of changed voiced lines for CoD multiplayer? What next? Are they going to up-charge 150% for the price of 10 year old DLC maps?
Exactly! That’s Dan from the Game Grumps (GG). JonTron and Arin (EgoRaptor on YouTube) were the original hosts of GG. Jon left GG to pursue other video work and Dan filled the spot. Dan is a very likable guy that mostly keeps out any and all drama.
If this is the reason you’re now not going to play this game you are a very sensitive person. A snowflake, if you will.
He wasn’t fired. He was already paid for his contractor job as a VO. Even before he said all his super shitty things Playtonic could have not used Jon’s voice for any other reason as they would see fit.
Geez. Us Americans hold the overall title of being some of the most entitled pisshats in the world but I think Australia may have us beat in the driving category for most entitled pisswads.
