That’s a lot of Riddick!
That’s a lot of Riddick!
(Side context to my large post: The game starts off with you and your friend/possible girlfriend getting in a bad car accident in 2015. She died immediately and you suffered severe brain hemorrhaging and bleeding. Doctors gave you a few weeks/months to live. The brain scanning technology I’ve been talking about was…
Below is complete overkill and unnecessary extra information about SOMA. Info you don’t really need to understand the original article’s point:
Oh wow! Good catch!
I’m not going to not be rude to someone who doesn’t read the article then leaves a comment to the effect of, “You didn’t explain what that meant.” WAU, the meat of this story, was explained from the get-go. SOMA is the name of the game—that’s all you need to know to understand the point of the article. It’s definition…
I hate how the top makers are YouTube personalities that post the most whacked out (not in a good way), nonsensical (not in a good way), and sometimes purposefully trollish levels. Their levels are on top because of their YouTube clout. I want that list to showcase makers who put a lot of thought and time into making…
I believe they should be zeros. You may want to re-edit your post accordingly.
Good tips; a lot of which I’ve already been doing myself. I just hate we have to go through this much trouble just to filter courses in a better, more comprehensive way. It’s a little ridick.
Okay, first of all, WAU is described in the first and second damn paragraphs of the article:
I got about 8-10 hours out of it. For $26 (timed discount for PS+ members) it was well worth it. Many other single player games at similar or less game length sell new for the full $60. But, of course, this is only justifiable if you enjoy narrative-driven single player games (which I do!).
As someone whose completed the game I don’t see any strong ties bringing the game to this teaser video. If I had to grasp for straws, maybe the monitor is showing how the WAU would bring back a deceased person as its directive is to preserve humanity at all costs. And in the game, it does so through grotesque manners.
Exactly! I thought that, too. I launch the ARK in to space and humanity “lives” on that way. Why do I need to destroy the WAU beforehand? It’s not like there’s anything left on Earth worth losing if I keep WAU running.
Everyone: This guy’s Kickstarter is trying to rip you off. I have a similar Kickstarter called “Make Me Modestly Rich” with a target of only $50m. You’re getting the same benefits at half the price! You’d be silly not to fund my campaign.
Excellent points I also go by when car shopping. Recently bought a new (to me... it’s a certified pre-owned) vehicle. Put a hefty down payment on it to make monthly payments super reasonable and the remainder’s interest rate is a measly 1.75%.
Yeah, that was very difficult to read. Who was saying what now?
Nice. My GTA clan tag’s name is The Suppositories. We like to stick it in to griefers where it counts.
Nevermind. I’m just hearing things. I played it for my coworker through the computer speakers (and not my headphones as the first time) and she’s clearly saying “Find Curie!” now. :-/
In the attached video in this article: At roughly the 11:42 her subtitles write “Find Curie!” but she’s saying “Please kill me!” Creepy!
Jim Fucking Sterling, Son. My hope is all people will learn of him one day.
