In light of all the firings, the ESPY's have an even more "First Annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence" feel to in than usual. #ReleaseTheHounds

You can't put a price tag on this kind of mockery...

let's just cancel espn

Basically, if you don't like the NFL or NBA, there hasn't been any reason in years to watch SportsCenter. It's finally catching up with them.

ESPN's ratings are falling because they've marginalized everyone not living in LA, NY, or Boston.

Cue EPSN 4K Sport channel in 3...2....

Sportscenter is still on the air? WAIT ESPN IS STILL A NETWORK?

When ESPN is this heavy handed with a response, it makes it look even worse.

With the exception of tennis and to a lesser degree, college football, ESPN has become virtually unwatchable to me. They are terrible in nearly every regard. This goes for radio, too. I listened to ESPN Radio in the background through my workday for nearly a decade. Within the past few months, I've listened less

What's wrong with ESPN? Northeast bias for one thing. At times it appears that ESPN announcers are on the payroll of Northeast schools. They obviously resent SEC dominance in football and have since Woodson/Manning.

It's absolutely not possible that a decade of ignoring your core viewer in favor of chasing marginal sports fan viewers could come back to haunt you.

ESPN only covers scandal, murders, Tebow, Lebron, and the SEC.

L. C. D.

I grew up addicted to all things ESPN. Now, I refuse to watch it. Too much forcefeeding, er, jamming of certain content down our throats (ie the NBA, the Yankees/Red Sox, and {gasp} too much NFL). If I am not watching a game, I'll tune in to a sports network for my content. The NBA on ESPN is my biggest gripe.

It's become unbearable. It has become the sports worlds answers to reality television. It once was a bunch of smart, funny, clever talking heads who you felt were sports lovers like you. Now it's a bunch of squawking idiots who spout nonsense, ridiculous celebrity guests and Tebow coverage. The only debate I will be

ESPN has not evolved since the 1990's. Same East Coast Bias.

its about time the network starts seeing a dip in ratings. their quality is going down the shitter.

I guess it was mostly watched by the employees they just fired. Tsk, tsk.

I know of two really good reasons their viewership is down:

I'm amazed that a business model built solely around a rapidly inflating commodity is starting to not pay the massive dividends they invested in it.
