I’ve always lived in the US, but always voted absentee until California offered the option to become a permanent mail-in voter. So I’ve never voted in person (and therefore never gotten an I VOTED sticker) but that’s fine, I haven’t had to wait in line or figure out what time of day to go. Mail-in serves my laziness…

I actually voted absentee because I knew I would be out of state, taking care of my dying father. September was a month of a lot of crying for me - for my dad and for this final crack in the glass ceiling. Tonight I’ll toast my father and our next President and be sobbing again, I’m sure.
