She’s also great in Mental, it’s hilarious and also made me tear up a couple times

It was only under Bush II that they started enforcing any of this

I’m with you. I’ve lived in the same place for almost 8 years and I regularly stub my toe on the finial coming out from the base boards. THEY HAVEN’T MOVED and I know they’re there. Why do I do it? I feel like I just don’t have good spatial recognition. At this very moment, I have a bruise on the bottom of my foot and

For reeeaaallll tho. Like I said somewhere else, I am all for working hard and earning things. But why do I have to earn access to health?? It implies that some people deserve to die or buried in debt forever from health issues. Just NO. Health-related debt is not a punishment anyone deserves for not being wealthy.

1) I knew what you meant, and I agree with you, I was just afraid of negative backlash from non-Americans who have suffered much worse things than having trouble opening a bank account, and I wanted to make sure it was clear I know my little bank account issue is a small one in the big picture. Having your bank

SOLD, see you when I learn technical French.

I feel the same way when people ask “but aren’t you taxes SUPER HIGH because you have all this public stuff??” Yes, our income taxes are a little higher than in the US (and the gap increases the more money you earn) but they’re basically the same for lower income earners, except we don’t have the same insurance costs

P.S. Although I’ll never make that much money, there’s no way I would ever pay double tax. I don’t even see how they can possibly force an American abroad to do that, regardless if it’s “the law”. That’s just absurd.

Yes, it was recently, and if the goal is to keep people from tax evasion, I can get behind that. The thing is, I haven’t worked in the States for 10 years and what I want to do is transfer my Spanish money, not my American dollars (all eleven of them...). But it doesn’t matter, because I’m American :/ If it weren’t

Also: wine.

I just moved from Spain! (I moved to another country in Europe). Was there ten years. Spain taught me how to view people as humans, whereas the States taught me how to view people according to their jobs/desire to work. Spain taught me that health is not a luxury only for the rich but a right for everyone. One thing I

God I love her! She was phenomenal in The United States of Tara. And I just saw her latest film Miss you Already with Drew Barrymore. Love her bluntness. Bravo Toni!

Compared to the US the taxes are really not higher, provided you include the thousands of dollars a month your employer pays for your insurance in the US. If you ignore that then yes, it appears to be higher, but if you count your whole employement package it’s not.

People in the US always ask me about taxes also (Spanish state) and it’s like uhm, we get health care for our taxes and don’t have to pay insurance premiums on top of what is really a pretty regressive tax that hurts low-medium earners more than it should, so it works out. Also: real sick leave if you need it, and

I just moved to a new country in Europe (from another country in Europe) and when my husband and I went to open a bank account, as soon as I said I was American the guy said “ooooooooh yeah, well, that’s kind of complicated...” and proceeded to explain to me that I would have to contact a special advisor to have him

We don’t. We just keep failing very slowly and the flailing and desperation fuels the engine.

Childcare!? In my day they just dropped you off at the bootstrap factory where you work your way up from the bottom. Coddling these children will not turn them into to the sociopathic corporate elites this country needs.

Thank you for writing this article. I have a degree in early childhood and many directors laugh about what they will pay me.

I think it’s a low IQ combined with way too much self-regard.

I spent a year of my life working for Disney so I can promise you this, simultaneously people die on Disney property and no one dies on Disney property.
